What if you go to Services and shut it down there, then do the Toolset uninstall, then check in the Program Files/Microsoft SQL/ if there's still sub-folders in there, and remove these if there is, then re-install? That' where it seems to keep the databases, the 2008 version at least.cmessaz wrote...
I tried removing MySQL seperately, and that didn't work. I discovered that something was still using it in my system processes, so I ended that, then uninstalled again.

Let me try... I think something became corrupted when the toolset crashed as I was loading a b2b of alistair_main.tmp7704 wrote...

I had that couple of times, i think it might happen if you launch it too quick or if it fails to shut down or something. A copy stays hanging around but there's no icon so it only shows in the process list.cmessaz wrote...
Why would the toolset be running in the background when I am not running it? Something is wrong. Maybe it's windows 7.
Also SQL is set up by default to start automatically with system start but that's normal. Still, i changed that to manual since i don't really need it eat memory when i don't use it

Come to think of it, there's some SQL troubleshooting mentioned in that Wiki too, if i recall right.

Back on topic. Sorry to interrupt. No maybe not the kick butt ones Lady and others post, but still good.

first installed the "2008 Express Edition with Service Pack 1" for x64 and then afterwards the "Management Studio Express" for x64 too. There's "Express with Tools" bundle too, but i'm not sure it includes the service pack so i did it that way.
edit: maybe Alistair can offer some advice

Alistair really does look sexy in almost any type of armor.
Whats he wearing and HOW? Please don't tell me it's IA...I'm terrified to install that, it looks complicated,

Out of curiousity, how do you get full screen with transparent bars instead of the widescreen with blackbars for cutscenes? Or are these not pc pics?

I think it has to do with whether or not you have subtitles on. When I did, the bars were solid. Now that I don't, they're transparent.

Improved Atmosphere actually is fairly easy to install.
1) Download Improved Atmosphere 1.3 and New Head Morphs 1.3
2) Unzip both files
3) Put both extracted folders as is into your User Name/Documents/BioWare/Dragon Age/packages/core/override folder.
4) Go into the New Head Morphs folder then the Party folder and then Morrigan, you'll need to chose if you want to use her original hair or the second morph. It will default to the second morph which uses my HNF's hair from that screen shot I just posted.
Other than that it should run fine as is. I haven't encountered any other problems.
The armor in that ss is Cousland Silverite armor that comes with IA. It isn't bound to the PC so, you can use it on Alistair once he joins you.
One thing that I've really liked about IA thus far besides the fact it penciled in Cailan's eyebrows is the fact it slightly changes loot to make it more usefull.
