I'm playing but I check back here every once in a while. o3o Btw guys, you know that Ostagar fix for Alistair's dialogue? The one that adds that one missing line? When exactly does it trigger? I just went into the Wilds and clicked on him but no dialogue ensues. Just want to make sure it's working properly.

It is supposed to occur there, but apparantly it is only happening before you talk to duncan. I will take a look it usually isn't anything big.

Hmm... I'll check to see if the dialogue triggers after leaving the Wilds. If not, it's either the Ostagar dialogue isn't included in the ZDF Complete package, or something went wrong.

Did you get Alistair approval when you met him? I have complete with my mod installed and it worked for me, but before I spoke to duncan. I can't speak to him afterwards.

i managed to speak to alistair about the ritual (if thats what you mean) he told me a bit about it

I did. I'm going to update to the latest version, see if that fixes things.

Just to be clear, this dialogue addresses that whole "Ask me again after Duncan speaks to you about it." thing he says when you ask him about the Joining, right?

I want duck hunt. I miss that freaking game and my power pad. That olympic game, which was on the original Nintendo. I am not old enough to remember Atari though. So thats good I guess.

lmfao duck hunt, I remember getting that on my 6th b-day, but it was a projector. So it would cast it upon the wall and I'd shoot it with the plastic gun. Ah good times.

I miss my 64! I still have my Game Cube, PS2 (Champions of Norrath and RTA are 2 of the best games ever) my PS3 and a sort of broken XBOX 360. And my GB advance. I am a nerd, yes.

Only thing I have left is PS2, which reminds me, I have like 3 or 4 games I still need to beat on that.

Yes, you are supposed to be able to persuade him to tell you about the joining. This was not available in vanilla, and you are not technically supposed to be able to do it until after you speak to Duncan. But right now, you are able to after he is recruited, if this makes sense. It is very late for me.
My toolset is still not working, but I'm pretty sure you have to pass a persuade check too.

I bet we are close to the same age then, Urshakk. I got duck hunt when I was 7 or 8 ish.

I wanted to play Mortal Kombat. Thats what I always begged my dad for change for. Then I would show off my fatality skill. AWSOME!

I love how Alistair says "Cute and adoreable puppy"
But folks I think I must go to bed now since I have stuff to do in the morning. Hopefully I can get this crap taken care of with the toolset so I can get on finishing Alistair and move on to Morrigan so the angry man-mob doesn't burn up my messages box.

I didn't pick up a non-casual, non-educational game until about four years ago when I was 18 :x Never had any interest until I started liking anime, which led to me playing JRPGs mostly.

Funny thing is  DA and oblivion are really the first games of their type that I ever really got into.  I am a tomb raider/mortal kombat/Gran Turismo type of girl. And now I AM going to bed. GN. Dang this thread and keeping me up.

I guess I am old enough to father to half of you then. I'm 47 and even if I have missed most of the console games, I have been totally hooked to western RPG ever since Baldur's Gate.

The main reason I never played games was because I got nervous whenever enemies came on screen. I did give games like Zelda and Mario a try but they made me sweat. I got the shivers just watching someone play a shooting game, especially a first person one. The fact that I am playing a non-turn based (or one where the battles take place with a limited number of enemies on a separate field) RPG is a big step for me xD

I never did play BG either, and with what everyone says about it I probably should, although the graphics would be way outdated I dunno if I could.

Blood splattering as you and Ali dismember darksapwn and dragons. Come on... you know you like it. The step to spraying them with bullets and smile as they go down is just one small little step more...

I never have either, but I am interested too. If I could make it through earlier Final Fantasies I can handle this. I imagine the younger people of the future will be saying the same of the games we find so groundbreaking :P

So true. I actually went back recently and replayed FF 5 and 6, and I had a lot of fun. Was half expecting to not be able to make it though but the games still have magic for me I guess.

I agree that the graphics are outdated and is nowadays a bit of a turn-off even for me. But back then it was awesome. And the character's where really cool. Viconia and Jaheira both helped found an strange fascination with bossy women.
