I think he is. But that has nothing to do with it. It was about how the voice was supposed to sound like. I guess this can be easily settled if the poster who said Alistair is 21 cares to provide us with a screen shot of the answer.TheGrumpyOne wrote...

My guess -- Ali is about 20. He's physically mature for that, but it makes sense to me.

Alistair is not 32. DG confirmed that, but I'm too lazy to look it up. Alistair was originally going to be 32, but it wouldn't have worked with his character.

Considering he's been in physical training since he was 12, his body type isn't really "physically mature" for 20. It's certainly... mature though. AND HAWT!

I realize I'm getting off topic, but just curious, for RP purposes, if Alistair dies for your PC because he loves you, can your PC ever be given a rose again? Mine cannot. It reminds me too much of my grandmother. On her very first date with my grandfather, he gave her a gardenia. From that moment on, that was her flower. After he died, she never got another one. She will not accept them. My uncle was going to get her some once, and my parents had to talk him out of it. It would have broken her heart. I get her gardenia scented candle for Christmas, but that's the closest thing she's gotten since he died. Just curious.
For me it would depend on my PC. For Valora, no. Still waters run deep. She seems controlled on the outside but thats only if nothing breaks the surface. That would unfortunatly break it. For my Dalish, pretty flowers from someone she loves would be welcomed, even a rose, though that gift would probably prompt a discussion with the giver. Those are the two extremes. My others would fall somewhere between those.

Hmm... mine probably won't. It would remind her too much of Alistair. If she started accepting roses again, it would be a sign that she's already moved on, or that was ready to become romantically involved again. I reckon it would take some time though before that happens.LadyDamodred wrote...

This is probably my favorite Alistair moment of the game, when he says "Maker's breath!" in response to your PC telling him to put on the damn crown.

In Redcliffe, before sending him off to Morri *sigh*

I just think he realizes that with the Warden and Anora agreeing in front of the Landsmeet, there is nothing more he can do. It is the (slimy, rotten, backstabbing) PC's decision. He has a family- should he throw his life away? It would be a nice gesture, but it would last about as long as it took for them to drag him out along with Alistair to the block.Urshakk wrote...
This is one of the thing that I've always wondered. Eamon is all like "last of the Therin bloodline!" "make him king" "he will be the one to lead us to victory in this fight" But if I choose to let Alistair get executed and spare Loghain he is just like "ok cool I'm obviously not watching this I'll pretend I'm not". Then when you talk to him at Redcliff "OMG why did you let Anora have throne (I still forgot about Alistair)" Blows my mind.

Sometimes I refuse to answer the Guardian's question and they get options to say things like "Now I am really curious what you feel about it" or "One wonders why you won't answer a simple question when your refusal says so much more". Makes dialog with Bryce different too. Something about the Maker seeing the rage still in her heart she tries to hide and that its time to let go (I think) Its been a while since i did a playthrough with a HN. I think I will run another noble through next time.

Yes, he is Fiona's son. Too bad she and Maric couldn't stay together...and they lied to Alistair about his mother's identity; and it's interesting that he ends up a Grey Warden, too. At least Duncan kinda did what he promised... I wonder, does that mean that Fiona had a daughter with another human man, or is Alistair not really related to that shrew in Denerimlaradenton wrote...
I have never seen it confirmed before. There was a lot of speculation about it, but with all the inconsistencies, it was hard to get a definitive answer. With an age put on Alistair, it does make it clearer.Thor Rand Al wrote...

I've played the same thread you did and I justthat look....so sweet and he looks so happy. If you haven't read the David Gaider books yet, I urge you to. Alistair is so much his father's son
. And there's an interesting surprise at the end. I won't tell you more than that...the end of The Calling. btw, for anyone wondering or interested...got a message from Mr.Gaider; after all the controversy over Alistair's age I took it on myself to ask the man himself....Alistair, according to him, is supposed to be 21 years old.
Lol yep, that's because he is Fiona's son.

He doesn't have to pull a "divine intervention", or try and speak out against you or anything like that. He may know it is somewhat out of his hands, but all it would take is a snide or snarky comment to the PC like: "I can't believe you" or something like that. Hell, they could of just focused the camera on him for a few seconds looking at the warden all pissed off and I would of got the point.

@SRWill64: Is this confirmed? Like, absolutely handed down from the Hand of Gaider himself? If so, pics or it didn't happen. I want it to be true so badly, but as far as I know, it has never been confirmed.
Edit: Clearly I need to spend my days taking and posting screenshots. *thinks her Cousland is very photogenic*
Also, I would take a simple quick shot of Eamon with a O_o face.

Maric mentions that the boy is human and Fiona says something about the reason elves stay to themselves lots: that when humans and elves have children together the result is always human....they could breed themselves out of existance that way.Addai67 wrote...
Um, ok... no one has actually confirmed that Alistair is Fiona's son. In fact I recall Gaider saying that he is leaving that open for now. Or did I miss something blockbuster?

I realize all that, however some of the earlier posts are stating this as definitive and to my knowledge Gaider has not yet either denied or confirmed that Alistair is Fiona's son.SRWill64 wrote...

The Warden Commander ending and the execute/banish Alistair choices are not only sad, they just seem so... inconsequential. Very "Oh well, whatever. NEXT!" Which is why I never worry about the Theirin line anyway, since it seems like no one particularly cares except when making excuses, lol <_<

Yes. As soon as I read that in The Calling, I figured the baby was Alistair. It seems to make sense, given how much he was pushed away from thinking he had any claim to the throne. The age thing is a really big boost to the theory, but without Gaider confirming his mother is Fiona, we cannot say definitively. I believe it to be true, yes, and the evidence points that way, but it's not quite enough to be beyond a doubt.

I think so, too. I did a US ending to test out an epilogue screen, and it felt pretty anti-climactic. What's the point? I've already got a big statue with my face on it in Orzammar- I'm going to make damn sure that fool Bhelen follows through on that!yukidama wrote...
