PC: I think this is the Mabari I helped back at Ostagar.

Alistair: I think he was out there looking for you. Seems he's chosen you, Mabari are like that, they call it imprinting.

PC: If you like him you can have it.

Alistair: Me? I can barely take care of myself.

Morrigan: So many comments come to mind I can only begin to imagine.

PC: Let's just go.

Mabari: *whimpers*

Alistair: You aren't going to leave him here are you?

PC: Fine, he can come. But you're feeding him.

Alistair: Great.

Morrigan: How odd, we now have a dog and Alistair is still the dumbest member of the party.

That is I think the worst with the whole scene. How could they possibly imagine that one scene would be enough to cover everything from Alistair reluctanlty agreeing to force himself in bed with Morrigan to a player spending his last night with the love of his life. At the very least they could have shot the scene so you never actually saw the face of the male character.

I often tend to skip the DR scene, it just makes me feel violated.

Lol, I've never watched past the terrified face no matter if it is Alistair or the PC or Loghain. It cracks me up too bad and then I just don't want to watch xD

Haha, I only saw her with the PC once when I loaded up one of my brother's saves out of curiosity. It was pretty hilarious.

I suppose it is bad of me to get annoyed yet at the same time a bit relieved when Alistair absolutely 100% refuses the DR sometimes. :innocent: Then I let my PC die and make him feel guilty. But usually I reload...

I did that, the first time he dumped me at the landsmeet. I thought, i'm going to kill the PC and make Alistair suffer by leaving him at the gates...

I don't even know why he refused that one time, the only other time he refused I had to use the "If you loved me..." line. His response is amusing: "I suppose I'll just have to live with the fact that you have me wrapped completely around your finger." I don't like it though, it feels even more manipulative than the other options.

Though looking at the toolset I am cracking up at the VO for his response if you tell him "Surely sleeping with Morrigan isn't so high a price." because it says "throwing up his hands and saying 'what the hell'." I've never used that line though.

Nope, he's on my plate for the future along with trying to make a character who doesn't romance Alistair see the end of the game xD

I dunno which mod to get though, since I'd like it to be at least compatible with a patch that fixes Alistair's dialog.

Nite Grumpy one Sweet dreams.

Last night I triggered the Alistair romance with the Lampost conversation (I chose the courted by a gentleman line) I didn't realize the romance had more than one trigger.  It didn't even get triggered by the "home is with you line" though his reaction to that was really cute prior to triggering the romance.  Completely caught him off guard.  It was kind of nice finding another trigger (though i had wanted to put off the romance a bit longer, this was too cute not to seize upon).  Since I always used the "handsome line" what other triggers does he have:?

What is this about the "Not for that performance" line? I always thought that was a thumbs up, esp if he didn't act hurt by it.  He took it as (I the player) meant it I thought.  awww poor boy I was actually hurting his pixil feelings?:  Damn gonna have to change that.  Lately I have been choosing the cute one that gets a shot of the PC looking all shy and twiddling with her fingers.  Since I play them as kind of innocent to relationships too its a good moment for me.

Another one I know of comes if you ask him why he hid his birthright. There's an option to say "I do like you, and not because of your blood." or something like that. That's the one I normally use.

So... apart from the fact that I'm going to dress my Warden up with nice custom armor and play as an arcane warrior, there was actually another good reason why I was so eager to get Ostagar finished. It was this:

It's a play off of what Alistair's joining would have been like using the Warden's Joining as a baseline. Hope it makes for a good giggle; I know it did for me. x3
