I would like to humbly request someone with more patience than I take a screen shot of the little smirk Alistair gives right before his Landsmeet acceptance speech. Eamon indicates it is time for his Majesty to talk. Alistair says something to the effect of, "oh, that's me!" He seems amused by this, and smirks as he steps forward. Please oh please can someone take a shot of that little grin?

Last night I triggered the Alistair romance with the Lampost conversation (I chose the courted by a gentleman line) I didn't realize the romance had more than one trigger.  It didn't even get triggered by the "home is with you line" though his reaction to that was really cute prior to triggering the romance.  Completely caught him off guard.  It was kind of nice finding another trigger (though i had wanted to put off the romance a bit longer, this was too cute not to seize upon).  Since I always used the "handsome line" what other triggers does he have:?

What is this about the "Not for that performance" line? I always thought that was a thumbs up, esp if he didn't act hurt by it.  He took it as (I the player) meant it I thought.  awww poor boy I was actually hurting his pixil feelings?:  Damn gonna have to change that.  Lately I have been choosing the cute one that gets a shot of the PC looking all shy and twiddling with her fingers.  Since I play them as kind of innocent to relationships too its a good moment for me.

Wait thats NOT the good choice? What? huh? nooo!! nd how does one get the twiddling with her fingers thing anyhow? Before I pass the point of no return here.

when he says "the chantry says you get struck by lightning" line outside the tent after the first time. If you choose, "it can still happen" you get a brief shot of your PC acting all cute and shy twiddling her fingers. its adorable.

DEF triggered it with "I do like you and not for your blood," during the dialogue about why he hid his birthright.  That was really sweet, too.  He gets all tongue-tied and says, "Oh, I...oh. You see, I didn't know that."



She had already told him "my home is with you now," but as you said, that's not a romance trigger, even though I'm almost positive I didn't get it on my male PC.  You do still get the "courted by a gentleman" line even after the romance has been turned on, and he still looks pleased by it.

Heh, I like the finger thing too.  And I did always take "not for that performance" as a negative critique.  I take it that the toolset confirms that?  (edit:  NM, I see that LadyDamodred confirmed that)

Exactly. I can never look at those screenshots I took and say "Cailan", to be honest. He has a strong Maric vibe coming out of him sporting that look... which is odd because I haven't read a single page of the prequel books.

Really??  I guess I'm in the minority, but I always saw that as a slam.  Hence I've never taken it, though I did hear that he tries to laugh it off.  Do you not get massive disapproval for that??

I have NEVER gotten that option, all I get thats even close is the bad one about not knowing who he is anymore.

You probably trigger the romance beforehand?  It goes away if the romance is already on.  I was saving up.    You know how hard it is not to tell him how handsome he is?!  Especially when he purrs that "something you need?"

Based on my experience, no, no disapproval at all. o3o Unless it negates some amount of approval you get from sexytime. Never got the impression that he took it negatively either. His reaction was just so... happy.

I recently tried this and made it past the Brecelian Forest and the Circle tower and all the way past Redcliffe before I was about to head off to Orzammar and said screw it and headed to Denerim and activated it after the whole Goldanna fiasco.

What does the VO say exactly? (if you don't mind)

Something I've wondered about the post-tent conversation is for the one where he initiated, he says "Have I told you yet that I love you?  I did?  Well, it won't hurt for you to hear it again."  And then if you tell him you love him, too, he says "See, was that so hard?" I'm sure it's all meant to be light-hearted, but I'm wondering if it's because it's still uncomfortable for him to say the words seriously.  Or, since you don't get that if you intitate the tent, if he's more comfortable and hence able to joke around a bit.

Another interesting bit (I'm really fishing for VO directions here, without actually asking you LOL), if you initiate the tent he gives you the "thank you, no one has ever made me feel this way and I didn't think it would happen" talk.  If you respond "you don't need to thank me," you actually get a negative on the approval.  Why is that?
