Of course!
I finally got a screenie of Alistair doing my favorite deathblow. Not too great a shot, but still good:

I love that deathblow, especially on annoying Ser Landry:

And I like how his guards just stay there and watch lol.

Dang other people and their ability to get better screenshots than me. I always persuade Ser Landry, I'll fight him with my HNF warrior, since I haven't done that yet with her.

Now someone needs to catch Alistair doing that move nakid. Then I could die happy.

I have a few other screenshots of 2-hand deathblows that are sweet. I hate Ser Landry, I have to run a wide circle around him if I go to Denerim earlier just to buy something. So once I can kill him its off with his head basically lol.

Suuuuure rub it in. I just cannot seem to get a good one. My PC has killed both Flemeth and the high dragon and I just mashed on the print screen button. You'd think I'd get at least 1 good screenshot of it. But nooooo.

I was just trying to show some other deathblows, sorry Posted Image Hey, just keep at it, you'll get it down. Pause often when a deathblow is about to go off and pan the camera around, look for a good angle.

Ok I'm about to toss this romance out the window. How did he go from adore "your desire is my command" which is oh soyummy, to love "Something you need my dear?" like...I'm his arranged bannorn wife? NO! And he will NOT give me the rose, I've saved/reloaded til my eyes bled. Pshh, I'm ok to swoop, and ok to caboodle, but not worthy of sexy "your desire is my command" or roses I see. I blame Morrigan.

I iknow I hate that.  Sounds SO business like.

One of the positive side effects of always tenting him first is that I can put off his personal quest until really late in the game, which means I rarely hear "Something you need my dear?" I don't hate it that much, but it is a bit of a cold shower after "Your desire is my command".

In my first play through, I didn't even realize the approval meter had changed to love.  I just knew he suddenly was distancing himself after meeting his sister and it was very jarring.  It so much paralleled real life as in there was NOTHING I could do to change anything.  As awful as it is, I think it's brilliant writing.

Yeah, it makes sense from a characterization standpoint, especially if he ends up breaking up after the Landsmeet. It would be horrible if you ended the game in a relationship with him and he was still like that in conversation. Fortunately, that's not the case.

And then the conversation about the future.  I'm telling you, the landsmeet dumping should not have been a surprise (no, he was not hardened).  I hated that turn of the relationship, just wanted Alistair BACK.  The way his romance played out for me, I would not change a moment of it, but it was heart wrenching.

I'm grateful I had the unspoiled first play through.  Though I cried more times, both because of heartbreak and from complete happiness.  And that final kiss *sigh*.  Beautiful, painful, amazing story!

I'm so cynical, because in my first playthrough,  I was looking for warning flags all over the place. I kept thinking "There's a catch here, there has to be a catch..." and then the conversation about the future. Posted Image

Of course, I went the opposite direction of most first timers, by making Anora queen and doing the ritual (I was a Cousland, too). I honestly feel like I missed out because, by the time I got around to doing a heartbreaking ending, I was completely spoiled.

Truthfully, my ending wasn't heartbreaking.  It felt so right.  I really did screw over Alistair making him king -- I completely trusted Arl Eamon.  So he was condemned to a life he hated, without the woman he really loved; he didn't want to live, and he didn't want the warden to die.  She was engaged to someone else, had moved on, had the world to live for; it was an amazing ending, and I had tears running down my face at the ending slides as well.

My second playthrough was just as good.  Then I came to the boards.  But those first two play throughs, unspoiled, absolutely amazing.

I was fortunate to have gone through the first playthrough completely unspoiled as well. Didn't make Alistair king, didn't take Morrigan's offer, and brought him along to the battle against the archdemon. I was half-expecting there to be some other way around the "a Grey Warden has to die" deal towards the end but that was hoping for too much, I suppose. It was heartbreaking, it wasn't perfect, but I honestly wouldn't have had it any other way. :)

I'd test it if I could but I don't have any EFs on me at the moment that are in an active romance with Alistair. D: Thanks for all the hard work though! Will be looking forward to the HF version, for sure. <3

BTW cmessaz, your Warden is very pretty. I always wonder how people roleplay facial tattoos for non-Dalish characters?

I'm a little behind on the posts, but I'm catching up.  TBH, when I created my first PC, a HNF, I didn't really know the tattoo "rules".   But I can see her having one.  I can see her getting one as an act of rebellion when she was a teen.  She didn't want to be a noble, she wanted to beat stuff up!  Mom and Pop Cousland were pissed! Does she regret it now?  A little, but its part of who she is, and she accepted it.

Haven't we all done something similar when we were teens??  Posted Image
