Question for you Improved atmosphere folks. I can't find the robe in the spider cave in the mage tower origin? Any ideas? It's going to bug me until I do, and its prolonging my meeting my man.

So here's a question, if Alistair hates the idea of being made a King and comments about his dislike of the idea then why the reaction when your talking to him when you first get to Redcliff.  I got approval for making the royal bastard comment, I think I understand, your a prince and (then cmessaz's sweet little fix here) I'm the lucky one.  Anyways all said n done I got +6 approval. 
For somone who doesn't want to be King he sure does seem thrilled when the PC shows interest in that part of his life.  But he wants nothing to do with it

No it is a reskin of the archon robes. The only cool new robes are in sacred ashes. But they are pretty cool!

I suspect its his low self-esteem again - he doesn't really see anything in himself to like, so to discover something that he thinks makes him likeable is a good thing to him, even if he's not pleased by it himself.

It is still who he is, even if he's not eager to be on the big hot seat.  If you accept him for who he is and even like it, you're probably the first one in his entire life to do so (except Duncan).

I find it very moving when, in his rally speech before the final battle, he talks about avenging the death of his brother.  Even if he isn't made king, he is finally able to publicly acknowledge who he is.  But at least being able to privately recognize it is, I think, a relief.  He even says that he's relieved you know.

I have to fire up an old save and see that cmessaz fix.

And that's where the hardening him comes into play, because it gives him the self-esteem he's lacking and gives him the guts to start taking charge so to speak. 
Sometimes I wish we could do the hardening before we go to Redcliff just to see a different response lmao.  I know that's not the way the games set up but it would be interesting to have a dialogue set aside just for that.

I was thinking about the prophecy Flemeth made about Maric. She said that he would hurt the ones he loves the most. He sure fulfilled that with his son. I just can't fathom that he believed he was doing a good thing by not being involved in Alistair's life at all.

I think Maric bought into Fiona's idea, or at least decided to honor it thinking she was right - that it was better than his son grow up ignorant of his heritage from either  side.  The fact that it didn't work out that way....well, we can only hope Maric didn't know that Alistair knew.  Eamon's fault, maybe, on multiple levels.

I can't do another warrior:( I don't know WHY, dual wield is the same as rogue really. But I'd rather do a dual sword rogue than warrior. I'm so strange.

I am like that too. I am enjoying SandS this time though. I had never really tanked. And Alistair is super sexy with a 2 handed sword.
And when you do the urn quest make sure to take a roque! One of the new robes is in Eirick's chest.
