Have you asked Teagan (as a mage) to let you execute Jowan?  You can, and can go down and talk to him and he will tell you why he chose to become a blood mage (and his last thoughts were about Lily).  Jowan is definitely a lot more likeable for me after 5 complete mage playthroughs.

Interesting.  Too bad you have to kill him to get that dialogue!

BTW it looks like Amazon Curves is only released for human females, at least the Natural Bodies-compatible one.  Since I'm playing elves these days, it won't solve my scrawny-limbs problem.

The one I have is for all three women body types.  Let me see if I can find the link...

try this one.  Its not "Amazon curves for Natural bodies" its just Amazon curves and the mod is for all three femal body types.

Thats the one I am using anyway.  And its NB compatible

I want to play through as an elven Arcane Warrior but I can't decide what to do in the origin. If you go aganist Irving does he bring it up when you go to save the tower later on?

Greagoir definitely brings it up.

No, all is forgiven on his part, at least.  Not on Greagoir's.  I love tweaking Greagoir's nose when I go back.

G:  I'm glad to see you survived, at least.
PC:  No you're not.
G: Perhaps.

He says that if you say 'you're truly glad I'm not dead?' I just think he'd rather not give his opinion.

LOL I love playing as a mage.  SO versatile and the convo options are SO much fun!

Addai-I got tired of the spells too. There are 2 new spell mods that are great, I will get the links. The shapeshifting one and the Armageddon spells are way fun, but they make you VERY overpowered.

There was a discussion in another thread about Irving betraying you, and I said that him sending you with Duncan was a reward, he planned it. Because he SAYS if you help him you'll be rewarded. Siding with Jowan proved it.

It's probably because I'm still slightly hung over but you lost me.  It proves that he planned on betraying you or it proves that he planned on letting Duncan recruit you as a reward?

It proves that your leaving with Duncan is a reward. Duncan had already been told all about you. He knows he wants to recruit you. You just don't know it. I always put 2+2 together when Irving says you'll be rewarded, Duncan shows up and takes you freeing you from the tower and chantry.

If you side with Jowan however Gregoire has a fit saying you shouldn't be rewarded for your betrayal of the circle.

Ohhhh Armageddon sounds like fun. My Celeste Elf likes being OP. Besides, you were the best of the circle, Duncan only recruits the best!  We should be OP...lol

Oh Armageddon is FUN! That is the one that allowed me to take on the deep roads alone and in record time.

All of my play throughs I've actually finished have been rogues. I've heard that Arcane Warrior tanks are pretty much indestructible. I figured I'd try an elf mage and do the whole mistress route. I might actually make Ali DW for that.

I don't like arcane warrior. I have never finished a playthrough as one. If I am a mage then I am a mage, same for warrior. But there are some kick butt armor sets for arcane warriors.

I love it when you confront Uldred in the Harrowing chamber "Oh look, its Irving's star pupil."

Everything in the Tower takes on a special poignancy for my mages (who were essentially happy there because I RP they don't remember their old life). Its not till they get out and sleep under the stars and start making their own choices (Since Al lets you lead) that they start to realize what a cage it was. By that point she is so grateful to Duncan/Irving she would kiss them for getting her out.

When Wynne suggests you going back I wish there was an option to say "Not just no but HELL NO!!" though I see my mages as coming back once in a while to do lectures and classes on darkspawn, broodmothers, archdemons and maybe even the Architect.

I wouldn't say that.  You can play stupid or play smart in any configuration.  I'm not a build expert, but it took me a lot of effort and at least 4 character restarts to get my AW/BM set up the way I liked her.  Now, in Awakening it was true that she was a goddess of destruction, and she certainly did ok in Origins, but she died more often than my rogues.  Just trying to mediate any expectations of deity you might have.

It seems elf mage is the thing to play on the thread currently.  :)

I've had my mage stood outside the deep roads for 2 days, i couldn't just bare to do it again.

I'll give that mod a try.

Did anyone else really love Greagoir despite resenting the Templars' presence? There wasn't a dialogue option to this effect, but I think my EM kind of disturbed him with her fangirl ways.

Deep roads SUCK. That is exactly why I get that line. But the divine school is great against darkspawn, so it is awsome for the deeproads, but not too overpowered for the rest of the game.
