If you make yourself Alistair's Queen then leave him at the gates and sac yourself does the cutsceen actually say anything about how you two were suppose to marry?

No but he does make the remark about how he thought you guys were going to be together forever or something to that effect.
It kind of leaves you feeling guilty almost, you either should of let him make the killing blow or told him about Morrigan's ritual.  The way he says he thought you would be together makes you think you should of told him about the DR.  There's a lot of guilt if you choose to do the sacrifice ending romancing Alistair

If he is in love with you and you play that card, he will accept no matter what. The point system is in effect for other scenareos, like the landsmeet. But it is very easy to convince him. I just felt that wasn't emotional enough anyway. How hard would it be to ask the man you love to have sex with another woman? He agrees to easily to me. But maybe I am just nuts.

See I didn't get that feeling.  He's almost fighting and kicking all the way to Morrigan, even the scene he's not thrilled but he loves the PC and if this is the only way that theres a chance that he's not going to lose her then he's willing to do it.
When he asks Riordan "what happens to the Grey Warden" when Riordan tells you about the killing blow to the AD, Alistair's already got it in his mind that he's going to lose again and in order for him not to go through the loss of losing someone else he loves, he's already convinced himself to do the final blow until you bring him this offer.  He's thinking just maybe there might be a way out even if he is reluctant about sleeping with Morrigan and the whole baby thing.

I always say that I will take the final blow. And it was disappointing to me that there was little or no emotion in that moment. I have always said that it seems like they sort of dropped the ball after the landsmeet, like they ran out of time and money or something. The earlier parts of the game were better in my opinion. And the bugs................oh maker I still dream of the bugs...

LadyJess, the toolset says that he is not angry about it.

about what? the "if you loved me..." option? no, he just has the whole kicked puppy thing and I feel awful for using that...lol

Problem is that is exactly what he says about his mistress. Why didn't they add more? After the landsmeet if you wait to bed him, he still says the same stuff. Ummmmm, we are getting married you know. That is what I am talking about. They should have added just a couple of queen/kingly things.

Yeah the love me thing. It seems the only way to me to get any emotion out of that moment. And when you tell Riordan about the final blow, he should say SOMETHING.

Speaking of the DR do you guys usually tell Alistair it will produce a child or just leave it vague?

I usually tell him flat out. Morrigan's comment about honesty not being the path she would have chosen cracks me up.

I do it for the shrieking...

LOL I was shaking from laughing so hard when I first heard the whole "dragon.... god... whatever!" bit. Never gets old, I'm cackling like a madwoman at nearly 3AM right now

LMAO I love that so much, it's cruel, I know but I have to be honest with the guy...lol

Oh no kidding. I did it once for the achievement, and after that...I don't CARE what happens with that baby, I'm not doing it again...lol I do need to do a spare Loghain save tho...sigh ok I lied, I deleted my sacrificed warden...maybe I'll redo that too, but not romance anyone.

I've never volunteered to take it in that conversation after I saw that the first time.

Very much so, especially since the dialogue is so buggy after the Landsmeet.

I'm the same way when it comes to the DR.  He basically agrees very easily but I generally use some of the persuasion lines; like when he asks if I'm sure there's a persade for something along the lines that he needs to trust the PC.

I tell him it will make a child but I don't tell him the Old God part.  I just tell him it will make a child and that she isn't interested in rallying a future army in the name of a Theirin bastard.

Justifying the DR is prickly at best for me but using a bit of meta-gaming along w/ book lore it seems like a solid choice.  After all the PC lives on to destory the Architect whom has evaded the Wardens for nearly 20 years.  Plus I don't see Alistair ever recovering from the PC's death if they're in a romance.  He's very much his father's son and I think it would break him in the long run as it did Maric.  Even if he did produce an heir the child would probably end up in a similar situatin as Cailan did w/ Maric.

It's like what I was saying earlier in the day, my one major complant is that Alistair lacks dialogue at certain points where NPCs are directly talking either to him or about him.  I found the conversation w/ Riordan especially so.

Can you not take Alistair w/ you to save Anora?  If so, do you end up in Fort Drakkon solo?

See, I have never read the books. I really need to. We need to get a bunch of people together and sign a petition to get bioware to add just a couple of lines for the queen cousland after the landsmeet. WTF is up with this "I'll figure out a way to make it work" crap. Ummmm we are getting married you know.

Oh it was fun. I left him behind and he chewed Anora out  a bit cuz she betrayed me. First time I ever did it. It was better that way cuz he said he was worried about me when he came to my rescue.

I agree, in my sacrifice ending on my first HN (I replayed the end for all the endings...lol and kept the good one) I didn't make him king, and the slide said he returned to the wardens, but left not long after because it wasn't the same without his love. I shudder to think of it as king.

Makes no comment if he is king in the slideshow. Not a bleedin thing. At least Anora wouldn't remarry because of her daddy.

Yeah, the lack of reactivity after the big Landsmeet decision is really one of my least favorite things about the game. No one comments if you let Alistair be executed either, it's really kind of sad. Hell, no one but Anora or Wynne really make note of the fact that Alistair died killing the Archdemon, and even then it's more of an "Oh well..." moment.

I'll have to try that w/ Anora this time around on my HNF. I usually take Alistair everywhere w/ me.

Yeah, I don't see Alistair ever recovering from his lover's death if he's King. I think him being pushed by Eamon to marry and produce an heir afterward would make him very resentful of his position.

Wynne says something if you choose the right dialogue at the end if Ali is dead. Something like "poor lad". But yeah that is exactly what I am talking about. I see EA written all over the last half of the game. "Get the game out by <date> we don't care what you have to cut".

I never use the persuasion lines but I've also never told him the Old God part either.  That freaks my PC out and I can imagine how Alistair would react.  And after watching that video I now know lol and I'm glad I've never told him.

I never thought about it like that but it makes sense.  Even more of a reason to never do that ending again lol.  Once is enough and it was too heartbreaking then.
Ugh but like someone else said earlier I accidently deleted that game so I got to redo it just to have it lol.  Well I'm not in a hurry to do it, so someday lol.

Ok I don't remember him chewing Anora out, I remember him making a smartass comment in general but not nessarily towards Anora.  I really wanted to see him just get into Anora's face literally.  As far as him breaking you out all he really says is "thank the Maker your alright".  Again nothing really jumping out and saying hey your Knight is here to rescue you lol.

Edit:  Alistair's comment when Anora annouces to Eamon that you were captured:
Alistair:  Oh good.  I was starting to worry this would be easy.

Another oh wtf moment w/ Alistair for me is the fact when you go to save Redcliff Murdock is a total misogynist dick and Alistair is just like "Well you can trust us!". I wanted to knee him in the balls for that comment.

Ya there's some comments that were lacking in the game that could of been added for Alistair/female PC romance.  Just to have the difference even if a little would of been nice lol

How does this happen?  Is that when Cauthrine confronts you the first time?

Yeah announce her to Cauthrien twice, then Anora will stab you in the back. I did it with Zev and Morrigan. Anora runs to Eamon and says: I think I did something horrible

Zevran" What you have second thoughts after throwing your savior to the wolves"

Or

Morrigan:"Barely met her and she already betrayed us. Her and my mother would get along famously."

I won't ruin Alistairs for those who haven't done it yet.

My Sten's job is very important, he has to stay at camp and play fetch w/ the dog.

I've always felt that Alistair/Loghain are really the secondary characters to the PC.  I never spare Loghain but he has just as rich a character background as Alistair if not more.

In Awakening Oghren is that seemingly that secondary character and I can't bring myself to care about him.  Drunks runing away from their family obligations aren't endearing to me.

Oh oh I got to try this now lol.  I've always just surrendered lmao.  I know I can defeat Cauthrien cause i've done it once, it's just easier to surrender lmao

Edit;  Top of the page pic.
Sorry ran out of Alistair pics, I need to get some more lol.

I loved this one though of my PC.  Just as she's beheading this creature she yells out "time for some fun."  I about died hearing her say that just in time to her doing a beheading lmao
