Holy crap, if I made this my desktop image my hubby would NOT be amused!! I put the pic in my Dragon Age desktop folder so I can view it whenever I want, he never looks through my things : ) I keep all my in game screen shots there.

My boyfriend is endlessly amused at my DA desktops. I have one super-artsy shot of my HNF decapping a Hurlock Alpha (it's on a farm and is quite picturesque) but most of them are shots of Alistair cuting around or Anders in various mage costumes.



I think if I started throwing half-naked fanarts on there, he'd probably think I'd gone crazy. I'm more into cute/goofy hotness than undressed hotness. Although, I can make an exception for Openly Hostile Alistair.

Seriously. When I play DA:O I always turn my volume all the way down when I 'kiss' Alistair so he doesn't hear what I'm doing. I never 'go to sleep' with him either when my hubby's home, it feels too strange. I think he's getting jealous because I'm playing the damn game so much and chatting on the forums

You're probably not going to see this scene if you're a human noble. You need to not get the dog in the original Ostagar game (don't do the Wilds Flower quest) and then make sure that Wynne is NOT in the party with Alistair when you return to Ostagar. You get a second chance to pick up the dog and Alistair has several lines leading up to this. If Wynne is in your party with Alistair, her default cutscene will override Alistair's and she'll suggest a name for the dog, etc.

Soo...

1. No human noble
2. Don't get dog in 1st Ostagar
3. Don't have Wynne in party with Alistair

That's it.

For what it's worth, Loghain has the best reaction to seeing/recruiting the dog in Ostagar. Wynne is second place and Alistair is last, mainly because he sucks for not being a fan of dogs. The animal lover in my squees at Loghain's enthusiasm. I can dig up screenshots for Loghain since I know many aren't going to let him live at Landsmeet. Will post soon.

Actually, I am curious. I have done RtO with Loghain and Alistair. Do they still have anything to say if you don't take Wynne with you? (Just interested as I really hate her in RtO - she is a total cow to Loghain, and with Alistair, there's that horrible, horrible thing she says at the end *retch*).

What!  Alistair loves Dog in Origins.  Ugh, people were really sleeping in RtO.  Makes me almost glad there were hardly any Origins companions in Awakening, if that's the continuity we can expect.

Edit:  That should have been Morrigan's line.  Frustrating that they just arbitrarily decided someone had to disapprove, just like Zevran arbitrarily disapproves of giving Cailan a pyre.

My thoughts exactly. I really do not understand it. I was pretty amused/confused that Zevran would disapprove more over the pyre than Loghain, when Loghain is the one who actually speaks against it. RtO was all kinds of busted, haha.

And I usually dislike Wynne when she gets all sanctimonious but I wasn't too annoyed by her being extremely b*tchy to Loghain. But there's a difference between calling Loghain out for his actions and being a preachy, holier-than-thou shrew.
