Does anyone know how Jowan reacts if you let him know you sold him out after breaking his phylactory (I can't believe they didn't replace it with a fake one to bait the trap) but before Irving explains that. I felt really bad when Jowan tried to defend me and then Irving was all 'so she's totally working for me.'

If you tell him you're working for Irving he's basically like a big WTF?! why even bother telling me?  I hate you forever times infinity and runs off w/ Lily upstairs.

Honestly, I wish when you tell Duncan you're interested in joining the army and/or Wardens that he just takes you back to Iriving and then you two leave.  I hate the whole Jowan dick fiasco.  I actually agree Greagoir would of just stabbed people in the face and it all would of ended quickly.  The whole lets sneak around and set ppl up thing disgusted me.

Hey, it's always best to die young while you're still hot.

I could never stomach siding with Irving in the Mage origin. Well, my Surana probably could, but I personally can't. Makes me wonder though how Duncan reacts when he finds out you ratted a friend out. I'm guessing it's somewhere along the lines of "doing what needs to be done despite what you may feel about it" as an important facet of a Grey Warden. Am I wrong? Close? Way off?

I suppose I can take comfort in the fact that he'll likely die under a rock in the Deep Roads.

. . . . . . and then I remember that my Warden will probably be right there next to him, caling him an annoying bastard for not shuting up with his horrible gallows humour.

The beard doesn't judge.  If you're loyal to your cause, bonus.  If you're willing to die for what you believe in, bonus.  Either way he basically thinks he's getting someone that is dedicated.

I'd like to think that when my PCs and Alistair go to their Calling, their friends will follow close behind in order to retrieve their bodies. I know I would do it for my friends, and I'd like to think those who loved you wouldn't leave your bodies to be desecrated or eaten or simply left to rot down there.

Man, my mood is dark at the moment.

But then their friends might have to watch them die and I'm sure the Warden and Alistair would want to avoid that.

Probably wouldn't be possible though.  If you're both basically down there to fight until the death you wouldn't want to endanger others.  In TC Bregan ends up wandering from Orzammar all the way to Ortan Thaig.  I would assume that the PC and Alistair probably would be down there for a couple of weeks before they finally fall.

Doesn't somone have to be there to make sure they're dead? Do not want my PC to turn into a broodmother D':

By close behind, I don't mean like 300 feet or something.  I mean like maybe a 1/2 day back.  And I think you could probably pick a spot and simply let the darkspawn come to you until you are overwhelmed.  Plus they could always bring the Legion of the Dead.  *shrugs*  I think Ferelden's heroes deserve a better end that just as rotting corpses or darkspawn trophies or in a monster's belly.

Edit:  I also think Alistair and the PC would take out a disgusting number of darkspawn before going down.  It would be... *shakes head*  GLORIOUS!

Pfft. They can't ALL be Edward Cullen and stay 20 (or however old Alistair is) forever now, can they?

I just had to log on to say that, with dual-weapon wielding Alistair plus Shale plus my Cone of Cold-freezing mage, I'm possibly having the most fun in DA combat ever.

SurelyForth, you're a goddess.  DW Alistair is sooo sexy.  He's not even dual-longsword yet, but Maker, that DW sweep in his hands is poetry.  He also gets a lot of shatters on her CoC casting.  I have his tactics set to Riposte my mage's target, and quite often it's BLAM.  Ice chips.

We just had the most awesome battle in Redcliffe castle:  Mage freezes, Alistair moves in and shatters the first undead, then out of nowhere comes Shale's Hurl and flings the rest of them to oblivion.  Awesome.  I was LOL'ing it was so beautiful.  I'm not sure screenshots could do any justice.

Oh, that would be a fun expansion. The Warden and Alistair single-handedly reclaim the old dwarven empire on their epic quest to find something bad-ass enough to kill them. Does it work? It's not looking too likely...

You did not just mention that name in the same sentence as Alistair's, did you?

SHUN!

Also, an expansion for your Calling would be awesome.  It would drive people insane b/c there's NO WAY to win.  *giggles*  There would just be more and more monsters of higher and higher difficulty until you finally fall and get a neat lil epilogue.

So... none of you would go the broodmother route? Really?

BMs kind of have it made if you think about it. Lounge around all day, have people wait on you hand and foot, eat as much as you want.... what's not to like?

I think I would really dig the older Alistair but for the beard. Some stubble yes, but the beard is too... Eamon. *shudder*

Maric didn't have a beard, no?

Oh, crikey, top of page.  Erm.... someone needs to fill in here.  Maybe some Alistair buttcheeks.
