I'd probably go with Leliana or Alistair for a dwarf. Agreed with Addai that the Zevran romance just feels a little 'off'. Granted, it's completely a matter of your character's personality, and I've seen really good instances of dwarves paired with just about everyone.





(But definitely disappointing about Sigrun. =P)

Heh. I considered romancing Zevran for one of my dwarves, but decided against it. It's the "off" factor, I guess. I like him better on my elves. I'm not a big elf lover (dwarf all the way!), but I will probably go out of my way to import my elf mage in a sequel if Zevran is going to play a bigger role than the token cameo because I'd like to see how their story continues. I just need to figure out how to modify her face in the toolset. I went overboard with the make-up because I didn't think I'd end up liking the character. =p (Another thing on my to-do list.)

I'll say that I love her. She's become my second favorite behind Alistair, and she and FBrosca are almost my favorite PC/LI combination. I love how sweet the relationship feels, and I find things that most others would call creepy to be quirky and adorable.

I will agree that she and Wynne in a party together is...a little much for me to stomach. There will be little to none of them with my Amell.

I think it depends on when you find out about the prince thing. Until Anora offers to support you then for all you know she backs Loghain 100% and thus Alistair is going to have to step up and take the throne. If you find out before getting too involved in the romance (say, Redcliffe is the first place you go) then there's no way a princess isn't going to know the score.

Hey,Sarah, I wanted to bounce an idea off of you. Just work with me here. I am going to do one more dwarf noble run with an Alistair romance that survives Landsmeet and dark ritual. I planned on having that game be different than Gilsa's (side with Bhelen instead of Harrowmont, for example). Was leaning towards the Anora queen/rebuild Grey Wardens with Alistair ending.



Now ... this is where I need your input. Do you think it'd be possible for BioWare to eventually address the issue of the dwarf-replacing-Harrowmont-as-ruler angle in a sequel? Because I'm somewhat curious to see what happens if Alistair is crowned king and the dwarf noble becomes queen as a result of Harrowmont dying. Just curious if there's potential to that relationship playing out because if the human nobles can be king/queen, why not this angle? Not that I CARE about being queen, but that story angle would be extremely interesting to explore.



Or I could just side with Bhelen and rebuild with Alistair. I don't really care if he's king or not. It'll be a while before I get around to that game anyway. Probably will fire it up shortly before February to keep it fresh and exciting for whatever they have planned then.

Almost abomination. Funny, I can provide a fic for something similar: An Opaque Mirror
Freckles04 is one of the best Alistair dialogue writers.

I need to do something for my reputation as a walking Alistair fanfic index. Other than that there's really no point to my post.

This is why I had my previous mage travel to Redcliffe without Alistair in the party, so that she didn't learn about the prince thing until later, after they got the ashes.  She was destined for Zevran anyway, but slept with Alistair.  I doubt she would have if she had known.

With my current mage character and DEF, I play it that they are going along with Alistair's denial about him being next in line.  With DEF, that was a little more believable- I mean, what does she know about how the shemlen choose their king.  With EMF, I think she just fell too hard and too fast and she can't help herself.

That is a beautiful dwarf! I always admire dwarf avatars when it's obvious that there was a lot of thought that went into the character. Mai's is one of my favorite. Hers is a Brosca with messed up hair and a sly grin.

My first HNF, when Eamon proposed the Landsmeet. My second HNF, immediately (power, power, power). For the canon run of my main HNF, it never occurred to her that she could be Queen. She figured that the Couslands were well and disgraced and the Landsmeet would never accept her. By the time she killed Howe, and Sighard and Alfstanna recognized her and gave their support, she knew that she and Alistair couldn't have children.

There were other considerations, right before the Landsmeet, but those were the main two for her.

Heh.

I guess the elf female is about a head taller than the dwarf female.  This is why I thought my DNF and Zevran looked cute together- it is about the same proportion as Alistair and the elf female.

The human female is in eye (and kiss!) line, but the elf female snuggles perfectly.
