Question: For your HNF PCs, how soon after hearing about Ali's identity do they think "I could end up the queen"?

The minute she heard 'my father was King Maric.' Really, it was somewhere between he words 'King' and 'Maric' and would explain the strange resemblance between Cailan and Alistair (and it isn't just game mechanics as Anora talks about it a bit if she marries him). But at least she really loved him first?

Now ... this is where I need your input. Do you think it'd be possible for BioWare to eventually address the issue of the dwarf-replacing-Harrowmont-as-ruler angle in a sequel? Because I'm somewhat curious to see what happens if Alistair is crowned king and the dwarf noble becomes queen as a result of Harrowmont dying. Just curious if there's potential to that relationship playing out because if the human nobles can be king/queen, why not this angle? Not that I CARE about being queen, but that story angle would be extremely interesting to explore.

I think they could and what they'd do with it would depend on if the Warden is returning and when the game takes place. If it's in the near-future Harrowmont could still be alive and there could be a mention of 'you know Harrowmont wants you to suceed him and the Assembly supports you as well' or an epilogue slide to that effect. Preferably both so the 'oh, and you're Queen now' doesn't come out of nowhere. If it's after Harrowmont died then the DN could not be the PC because while it's all well and good for the head of House Aeducan to presumaby put Gorim in charge while they go sort out the mess with Amaranthine (because it never hurts to listen to the monarch who you want more troops from), the Queen/King really can't go gallivanting off on an adventure to the surface. These people really don't function well without a strong hand on the throne.

If the sequel has a new PC that doesn't return to Orzammar - which would be awful because I  it - they could just mention the King/Queen but not by name and maybe reference their status as Paragon or Hero of Ferelden (I like the sound of 'the Paragon Queen' myself). If they do return to Orzammar then for whatever reason the King/Queen is unable to meet with them personally (because importing and voicing the DN would be too much work) but Gorim can act as a go-between like Vartag and Dulin initially did. Plus, that means more Gorim!

I just hope we never have to meet his wife. Her existence makes me sad.

LMAO!! Glad to be of service, ladies. xD I'll be sure to upload summoar once I get tired of grinding (not that kind of grinding, you pervface >3>). Alistair has some really hilarious lines; just reading about them in the toolset isn't enough! He must be heard!

@Axe- Yes, apparently so. o3o They probably intended to do something different with him earlier on. Might explain why he was depicted as a DW in the concept art, maybe?

@Sarah -- OMG, Gorim being in charge. That'd be quite the role reversal if Gorim ended up being the new king of Orzammar. I love that idea, lol. As much as I'd love to romance Gorim again, I don't know if I'd be comfortable with his wife and kid conveniently being disposed of just to make him available. =/ I wish I could peek inside the mind of whoever wrote Gorim. I know the person who wrote Cullen didn't expect people to have the reaction they did and she expressed regret that she never provided more of a follow-up for Cullen since he was just a character of convenience at the time. Hindsight and all. Wondering if this applied to Gorim as well.

It usually hits my HNF around around WK, which I do right before Orzammar (last treaty).  She knew Alistair was gonna be king, but that time and place just kinda bring it to the forefront.

Do you mean the one you can get at Ostagar?

I suppose you can just delete the files:

Oh, probably. I mean 'sorry I can't come with you. I've somehow become grievously if unnoticeablyinjured, I got married, and I'm going to become a father even if you come find me immediately after Lothering and yet none of this will be referenced ever again especially not when I run back to Orzammar the minute I tell you we're allowed to' just smacks of a lame excuse to get the most awesome non-party member in the game out of the way.

And I think Gorim would have a ridiculous amount of power under Queen DN as he's the only person she knows she can actually trust as he never turned against her or resented her for her part in getting him exiled and now he's even an Aeducan.

@Aisynia- LMFAO!! That scene had me in stitches the first time I saw it. Smart, smart man. x'DD Not as smart as Sergeant Kylon, but still. He had a higher chance at surviving that fall compared to facing the Warden. x'DD

She looks lovely, by the way! Dwarves are such a refreshing change from playing humans or elves, having much rounder features and living in a harsh environment may they be nobles or brands. I'd join in on the dwarf lovin', but sadly I'm set to completely revamp my saucy dwarven ladies. So I'll pass for now. ;3;

After reviving Eamon and he gives his speech about Alistair being put forth as heir.  My HNF doesn't think very highly of Loghain/Anora w/ all the bs that they've caused, there's no way that she'd let Anora keep the throne.  Since she's in love w/ Alistair anyway it makes since to have his queen be someone that understands politics.
