Gah like i feared, the change in proportions can affect some animations like that. Will have to look into fixing that one and possibly the others tomorrow, some sleep first.yukidama wrote...
It's ok, apparently my elf was only in it to distract him long enough to steal his kidney.

The "Especially because of that." line strikes me as weird. There's something that makes me uncomfortable about it.
I haaaaaaaaate that line. Hate. I've already expressed my discomfort with it, so I won't go into it again but...hate.

Nope, it works for all. They use single cutscene for all races for that part, so all get affected by the change.Gilsa wrote...
Oh, wait, that swooping kiss thing -- is that only for humans? Just asking because the lion's share of mods don't really go out of their way to include dwarves. (Harrumph.) Just wanted to make sure it's human only before I dismiss this mod as another useless one for me.

It happens in the conversation with Alistair where he tries to find out if you care for him like he does for you, the one which starts with "will you miss it all once we're done" if i remember right. If you tell him it's too soon to tell yet he does the swooping. The modified bit is in the part after fadeout/fadein, it's just the PC is left visibly a littel off-balance by the swooping action.Aisynia wrote...
What EXACT scene is it? Do I need to take a specific dialogue course? I am going to install it but I want to make sure not to miss it in this case
Thank you.

Aaaaah, I hadn't thought about that. Yes, sleep is good. I feel I must constantly tell you that you are awesome for doing this stuff in the first place, because you really are

Zevran probably likes pantsless Alistair.

I dunno. I think it bothers me more with elves because of their fetishization at the hands of humans. The whole Vaughan thing and what Leliana says about humans keeping them around because they're pleasant to look at just makes it seem kind of creepy if you see the line in that context.
But it just doesn't seem like Alistair to basically say "I want to do you because elves/dwarves are totally hawtt and exotic~~~" so I am willing to consider that it's not intended in that way.

So um I'm curious about something. During Alistair's giving the rose speech where he says "if we could move right on past this awkward, embarrassing stage and get right to the steamy bits," And you say ok off with the armor and he makes that joke about seeing past his bluff, and one of your options is saying how cute he looks when he's being bashful. Has anyone done the other option where you say, who said I was bluffing? Just curious what his response is.
He says something along the lines of "Well... it doesn't HAVE to be a bluff"
It also depends if you're at camp or not too, he says something else after that.

PC: Why must it be a bluff?
A: Well, it doesn't have to be a bluff. (waggling his eyebrows suggestively)
(If in party) A: It's just that we're, ah... not alone. That works as an excuse, no?
(if not at camp) A: Maybe when we're back at camp some night. You know. In a tent?
(if at camp) A: Well, I suppose we are in the camp. The tent's... right over there. This is true.
PC: No time like the present, then!
A: I'll be... Laughs nervously I'll be standing over here. Until the blushing stops. Just to be, uh, safe. You know how it is.
OR

I'll have to try that "why must it be a bluff" next time, it sounds so cute lol. I always do the "your so cute when your bashful" line

Well, my issue with it is this: I heard it first as a CEF, an origin where it is made abundantly clear that elven women are allowed to be raped with no implied repercussions (outside of "Oh sh!t, that man elf brought a sword!"). It is also pointed out in several other places that elven women (and men) are viewed as sex objects; exotic others who can be used for pleasure but who have no place in proper society, or who have few rights or avenues to deal with such actions against them.
So, as a CEF, when Alistair propositioned her and she asked if he wanted to be with her even though she wasn't human, and he says "especially because of that" it sent up huge red flags. The last thing she needed was him to indicate that he wanted her because she was an elf, because that was why men like Vaughan wanted her.
For a dwarf, it doesn't bother me nearly as much because there's not the underlying issue of subjugation between dwarves and humans. For a human male to say that to an elf, especially a city elf, is utterly tone deaf and a bit creepy.
That's my take. It's been pointed out that the PC should know by then that Alistair cares about her in a genuine way, and I know he says it to hand wave any concerns that the PC has about their coupling, but it still makes me quite irrationally angry.

Well, if she's an elf it's probably just genetic predisposition. Not sure about the dwarf, though. The "Especially because of that." line strikes me as weird. There's something that makes me uncomfortable about it.
Edit: Oh, top of page...
