I have no doubt he could be happy in this, but I still can't do it. The throne is his birthright and Anora has lost her right to rule as far as I'm concerned. And the fact that he wants to be king when he's hardened tells me that it would always nag at him if he didn't do it. The reason he tells you early on that he doesn't want it is because it's been drilled into his head all his life that he's unfit for it. He needs time to get used to the idea, then it actually starts to look like a good thing to him.Merilsell wrote...
I think I'm one of the few with the opinion that Alistair is actually happier with a life as a Warden, where he can be free from all the duty that had defined his whole life already.
No matter if he's hardened or not.

...something about which she is knowingly lying, as she'll admit to you later if she betrays you in the Landsmeet. In any case, it's a far sight more realistic to think that the queen is safer in Loghain's hands than that the only Grey Wardens in the country- public enemy #1 and #2- are.thegreateski wrote...

Well she DID just get done telling you that any guards you encounter will either be loyal to her or to Howe . . .Thor Rand Al wrote...

She comes right out and tells you if you free her she will aid you in the Landsmeet. She doesn't say if you support me I'll aid you, all she says is she will aid you. There's no if you do this or that, only free her.
Yes, even if your position is to overthrow her, she just has to help you, because she failed to specify that it is only when you don't kick her from her thrown.
She just betrayed me to Cauthrien after making that promise so ya I have no qualms about betraying her now lol

We are immune because Maricstair sexiness cancels out Alistair sadface, at the very least at a one to one ratio. It might be higher.SurelyForth wrote...
I have finally become immune to Alistair Sad-face- Maricstair is staying in my mage's game!

Alright, draaaat.... I don't know what to wear!! This is too much like RL and is stressing me out. LOL
Has anyone ever tried the women's version of Warden Commander Armor? I'm not sure whether I like it or not.

I just don't know how you could do it, how you could make that decision.
Knowing that Cauthrien is loyal to Loghain and that he plans on having Anora executed, ratting her out would be a huge gamble. So I can understand why Anora did what she did, even though it was all too drastic a measure. She could have easily talked Cauthrien down, but I suppose she panicked? Or simply thought there would be little point in trying to convince Cauthrien of her father's plans? The fact that she makes an effort to try and save you after that encounter convinces me that she wasn't trying to get rid of you, though.Thor Rand Al wrote...
Cauthrien is suppose to be her and her father's gaurd so she's loyal to Anora too. Cauthrien's not about to kill Anora knowing that Loghain would have her executed. How do we know that Cauthrien would of killed her. Obviously she didn't once I rated Anora out as you say, she still goes running off to Eamon to play her game. She's not taken into custody or anything. No this is just a big game for Anora and she'll do whatever she can to win.

He can't complain! There was no blood magic or child sacrifice involved in this decision. I did it all for, well, this:

LMAO!! That's during the Joining, isn't it? The one arched brow makes me lol every time. It negates the dark sick feeling you get from the whole ordeal. x'DSerissia wrote...
