I like the idea they don't kind of lol. Because when I'm going into the landsmeet I'm not 100% sure that I want to take that path, more like 99.9%. When I do make that finale decision it's after talking to Alistair and Anora, with Anora it's just so I can call her a ruthless bytch lmao. But seeing Alistair's hesitation when your talking to him, even if he is hardened, I can't subject him to do this alone.

Edit:  lmao, I do the tent thing too before having to go to Redcliff and having to deal with Morrigan and her DR.  This is gonna sound crude but oh well.  I always imagine that because I had just done the wonderful deed with Alistair that our love-making is still fresh in his mind and maybe even the smell of us being together is still fresh also Posted Image

EDIT:

Alistair hesistates when you talk to him?  Which line?  B/c he's pretty firm when I talk to him.  It could be the order I have the dialogue path follow.  His only real hesitation for me is when I ask if he's willing to give up his freedom.

Edit:  Well, the sword and shield are a set.  I keep them as Alistair's secondary weapons, just like Lya keeps the Cousland Sword/Shield as a secondary sets.  They are important family items, and I would never sell them.

LOL well its more a matter of keeping my Inventory under control.  Soon as I upgrade the blade and shield it gets sold.  No attachment to it.  Except on Valora.  I didn't care about the shield but I kept the Cousland sword to kill Howe with it.  In fact, in my mind, Val is my "canon" game so I guess thats why.

You know, I like that idea Addai. But I never have Alistair kiss my pc out of camp. Why? Because I thought he wouldn't. I did it once one of my first playthroughs and he said no, so I just never did it again. I will have to remedy this.

Oh, I kiss him everywhere. I have especially enjoyed kissing him lately at the most inappropriate times and places. Like right in front of everyone in the main hall at Redcliffe Castle, right after I cure Eamon with the Ashes - my fav. I just made out with him on the Proving ground floors right after we  killed a few competitors, in front of the entire audience.

I <3 PDA with Alistair.

I actually have him use Cailan's Crest as well.  His normal weapons are Duncan's Sword/Shield, but for the Landsmeet, my goal to show that I clearly intend to put him on the throne.

When I first got RtO, I had held back all of the kingly stuff until the LM, though on my current HNM game he's using Cailan's shield + Maric's sword.  It gives a whopping stamina bonus.  As does Duncan's sword + dagger, which is what HNM is using.  As does the Nug Crusher which is Oghren's now and forevermore.

A DW Alistair?! *mind has been blown* I don't think I could ever do that.

He's awesome as a DW warrior.  I tried it when I rolled a S&S, but I only confirmed my enduring hatred of playing S&S and had to re-start that character.

LOL I did that too. One reason I love doing Harrowmont';s quests instead of Bhelen's.  Figured we cut quite a figure.  Best part was he gave me the "Traveling alone" dialogue line.

I love his versatility. Even without a respec mod you get him early enough you go that way with him.

Yeah, Lya is my canon character, so when I reference things, it's always from her perspective.  For her, the shield was something her family used to defend Fereldens king before.  It's an heirloom.  She is never selling it.  She would give up every other piece of armor and weaponry before she sold those.  That's what the second weapon set is for.  ;)

Also, my name is actually Val, so I have to do a double take when you shorten her name like that.  XD

Though I must say, I will always LOOOVE Alistair in splitmail. Just like I love how Lya looks in Scalemail. I wish I knew where to find a pretty matching set of it somewhere in game so I could run around towns in that instead of in plate all the time.

Ali is a beast as DW, especially if you can respec him. Loghain drops about three times as fast when up against a DW Warrior verses a S&S.

I also love the splintmail on him and scale on my HN. I use a mod that will upgrade one-of-a-kind items if you sell them and buy them back, so I can have Varathorn's breastplate in dragonbone at the end of the game.

There are variants on the name which mean different things. Valora is Latin and means "To be healthy and strong".  Another meaning (For a male variant) is Protector on the Battlefield.

I have Alistair DPS as dual wield or 2 handed if my character is sword and board. (which is very rare) And he looks very sexy when he does the death moves. Especially the 2 handed stab with his back turned.  Yeah baby!

BTW, thanks Gilsa, for posting those RTO lines. Now I don't have to do it! Looks like Wynne is tolerable with no younger men to hit on......

I've actually been thinking about how Alistair would fair being a DW warrior.  I've just never done it because my PC is always a DW warrior.  You guys have given me something to seriously think about and probably do on my next playthrough.

Yes, my full name is Valerie, so I'm aware of that meaning at least.  XD  As long as you have the 'Val', that will be the meaning of the name.

Everyone looks sexy doing that move. This is truth. Even Oghren can work it out.

I LOVE that 2 handed stab. But when Alistair does it....ohhh baby. Just cuz it's Alistair. Now I want the forced death blow mod. Much Alistair stabby sexiness to be had for all!

Wait, what?

If you're both DW, you can get some glorious simultaneous Flurries and Punishers happening.  I even had twin decaps happen once but was too overjoyed to get screencaps.

Is it possible to run both as DW?  *Edit*  I'm Too much old school D&D with Tank/healer/caster/rogue mentality.  who does the heavy duty tanking if both of you are DW?

I enjoy both of us killing ogres together. ^_^ I don't like DW wars for some reason, so I am quite happy to have both Alistair and I as S&S.

Out of curiousity, b/c I don't know if it's just me, but do you guys get shield decapitations? I have seen it happen tons of times for me, but have never seen it mentioned. Just wondering if it's some sort of nifty bug I have. I conjures an image of Lya and Alistair sitting at camp sharpening the edges of their shields. XD

And I think the D&D influence might be what causes me not to like DW wars.  :/
