Also...pointing out, my IA modded Alistair still has hazel eyes, they are just LIGHTER hazel, the vanilla always looked brown to me.
Crap. Top of the page? Fine...
"And here I thought...Never mind. I guess you've made your decision"
I never want to see that line, or that face ever again. Sad Alistair is hard, but utterly shocked and betrayed Alistair is too awful:crying:
Really? In my game, much like hazel eyes IRL they either looked golden brown or a yellow toned green depending on the lighting.
Poor guyliner Alistair.

Lady Jess, you use the opalmoon gem on your elf mages too I see. I am trying to finish up my morph package so I need to create some decent looking freaking elves.
On this one, yeah. she's my only elf mage, I deleted the Dalish one. Which means I still need to play a Dalish...sigh. I already have 2 rogues and 2 mages (human and elf both) I guess I'll have to even out the warriors.

Yeah, is that IA? I don't use that part of the mod. I either create my own or download each morph seperately. I love the facial hair though.
Thats what I like too, and that it hardly changes him at all. Just added stubble and his eyes, though I barely noticed them.

Yeah, anyone else notice that he seems to look better at and after the landsmeet than before? As far as Alistair goes, there is one morph I need to show you guys if I can find it. I don't know why anyone would do this to him.
I thought it was just me...lol but yes. Not so much appearance but...demeanor.

I seems like RTO just didn't feel emotional enough. And I HATE the comments between Wynne and Alistair toward the end. I get the heck outta dodge before I have to hear the whole thing. Yuck.
Yeah, you know something is wrong when the PC is the one that looks most upset about the whole thing. It's especially funny if you play a character who gave him **** at the beginning of the game. My PCs look sadder when they see Cailan than when Alistair sacrifices himself, or at the Gauntlet when they see a potentially dead loved one. It's totally a WTF moment. If there's a time to give the PC an expression, it's then. Not when they see some guy they knew for all of 5 minutes who they may or may not have told to go **** himself six ways to Sunday.

Maybe I'm insane but I'm not seeing the difference between this "Maricstair" fellow and good king Cailan.
On a related note. Why am I in this thread?
Me neither. Just switch up the eyebrows and.... ugh. Lol.

*shudders and passes the brain bleach along* Odd how I can definitely see Alistair in this one, but not see Cailan in Maricstair. I wonder why that is...
Going off-topic for a bit: cmessaz, which files do you need to edit to mess around with dialogue triggers and whatnot? The dlg files, right? I'm loving all the fixes, but there's one conversation in particular that I want to appear at a certain fixed time.

Technically the eye color IA is using is t3_eye_lbr (light brown, I imagine), the original is t3_eye_hzl (hazel). Another option is t3_eye_amb (amber), I think that's Zevran's eye color.Lady Jess wrote...

I don't really think it matters what eye color you prefer, his eyes are brown ... and that's it. It's a 3D model in a game, there are certain restrictions and I don't take such things for face value. He's supposed to be 21 and the vanilla model doesn't really convey that.
Ever since I knew his age, I was looking for a way to make him look younger and the IA morph was the first morph that was doing a decent job. I loved it. Now that I know how to tweak the headmorph myself I'm using my own version, which is still similar to the IA morph but a little closer to the vanilla look.
I like Maricstair but I wouldn't want to use the morph in the game. Maybe I can make a young Maricstair - that would work for me. I still think there should be more good-looking long hair. I'd love Alistair to have long hair but not at the price of cosplaying as Cailan.

Inappropriately sad PC is appropriately sad right now.

@klara- The toolset is a wonderful thing. x3 And I agree about the lack of nice hairstyles. That's the nicest-looking default long hairstyle in the game. D; Or at least the one that suits him best, in my opinion.
I like how it plays off as a Cailan clone too, though. Pretty sure I've already mentioned this about a hundred or two pages ago, but it's a little tragic if you think about it, especially if he's married to Anora when he looks like that. ;3;

It's a builder to builder, but since I can't load mine at the moment, I can't create one. Basically alistair_main is the backbone of the mod. You (I don't think) can edit anything in it unless I get you a B2B. I am going to go back at getting this dang toolset to work for me again, then if you want I will make one and send it to you.nranola wrote...
@cmessaz- What's a b2b? o3o And yes, that's the one. I'd appreciate it if you did one for me but I'd prefer to try and do it on my own, as part of the learning experience. Not to mention with the constant updates to the dialogue fixes I would need to constantly update the file.

Sure! If you export it as a .mop and turn the export properties to "true" I can make it one of my presets in the character generator.yukidama wrote...

@cmessaz- So it's a file that calls alistair_main.dlg? Is that it? And yes, send file will be much appreciated.

'K, I have the .mop file. You'll still need the modded files I used to the hair/eyes/skin though? They're part of Bidelle's and Pineappletree's packs. I'll email the .mop to you now.

HA! Actually, I think it's a great hairstyle when you make him marry Anora. A little creeeeeeeeepy but anything to cause Anora discomfort!nranola wrote...

It's not that I don't like Maricstair. He looks good with the hair, better than Cailan! I'd just prefer him to have a unique hairstyle. The little braid ... oh noes, Alistair wouldn't want to braid his hair, it's either a wild mane (caked with darkspawn blood)... or a messy queue ... but alas using one of the queue hairstyles from the game makes him look like Duncan or eerily close to Anders.
If I only knew how to make custom hair! You all would name your children after me if I could do it. You'd love it, you'd love me. Unique Maricstair hair. *dreams*
