Oh, the glory of Maric's Blade/Starfang. I bet he gave your PC an extra-special kiss when you bequeathed those on him.

It's actually Maric's blade/Forgotten blade, but fortunately Forgotten is shiny too.  B)  He doesn't have enough str to wield Starfang yet, since I had to pump dex to get him to DW Mastery.

I love that particular stance, but it makes me realize the PC should probably stay pretty clear from him.

Because she might get backhanded with a flashing shiny?

You can get your own shatter? Oh, Lucille will be whipping out the swords in this playthrough.

Yes!  She did it again on a hurlock in the Brecliian forest.

Okay figured out how I could post a pic of him and I REALLY like this Loghain.  He looks his age, like a grizzled warrior type instead of a drugged out over the hill rocker.

Eum no.
Loghain is supposed to look unsettling, he was that way ever since the Stolen throne. And his cold steel blue eyes wqouldn't stand out that way.
I agree he doesn't look his age, but this looks too old. I think Loghain tries to keep healthy and fit actually, seeing how he mocks Eamon (who is younger than him) for being old and fat.

LOL to each his own.  I can see where his fans might prefer him as he is but I like this one better.  Less harsh on my eyes without the raccoon mask.  This man I can see being a warrior and fit.  Just cause there is grey up there doesn't mean he's not fit.  As an older woman who is quite white haired (I went gray in my 20s) this suits me much better than Bioware's original.  Also I have never read the books so I don't have them to compare to, only the game.  The other one just looks unhealthy to me, like he hasn't had a decent night's sleep since the last blight.

tmp has a mod that gets rid of Loghain raccoon eyes. I don't consider that Loghain requires the effort to bother!

Yes, that's the point. It shows you that Loghain is on the verge of depression and is just falling apart. I think they pulled it off beautifully.

But in Awakening on the otherhand, he looks much more lively, with the burden off his shoulders. I don't know, but I think he looked very well in Awakening, for a 50+ year old.

KoP, I'm disappointed you didn't comment on the Morrigan shot I posted last page. The things we do for you! Your bromance with Loghain is obviously more pressing. ;)

I saw it...I was just staring at it and marvelling that it took me time to comment on it...yes that's it

Good morning, ladies and germs.

Morrigan says to the fangirl thread:

Well, that's not so bad. I'm just attached to short hair, especially when it is spiky-ish like his. Makes me want to muss up his hair. With the other hairstyle I wouldn't dare, as someone who tries to get every hair in place before she leaves home only to have it all messed up by some breeze I would never do that to someone who spends their time with little braids and slicking it back :pinched:

Yeah but... but.... you get to run your hands through longer hair.  Don't get hung up on the braids, that's just to keep it back while fighting and stuff.  I mean, I wish there were an option for my character to let her hair down in the tent.  As it is, she's got it stuck up there.

Someone mentioned the upkeep. Which of us wouldn't sit and GLADLY make those little braids for him? And if not us, Well Leliana would. Dammit, where's the morph? My mage is halfway through, they've been together a year according to Wynne...I'm sure his gair has grown ..<

Since my own char prefers short hair, and limits herself to the one braid for sentimental reasons, she is not going to sit there and braid Alistair's hair for him.  Not happening.  And he would be mocked incessantly if he spent more time doing his hair than she does.

Celeste reminds me of Tarja Turunen. Probably because I like to listen to Nightwish's "Bless The Child" while playing through the Final Onslaught. ^_^ Symphonic metal or medieval folk rock goes quite well with Dragon Age.

Now see if I'd tried to make one that looked like someone I couldn't...lol that's pretty cool,  I've heard a bit of Nightwish and liked them.

Nooooo..... cannot allow him to live! If I show him mercy now, he will just show up in the expansion looking somewhat sexy....which would be worse than another Blight!

If you're a mage and ask her to tell you what you've missed at the circle, she'll mention it's been a year since you left.

Wynne says it in a conversation with your mage about how it's been about a year since you left the tower. The things is, that conversation can come really early or really late, so it's not a good measure of time. Like when you go to Orzammar and they mention how it's been a year since the Bhelen incident. Imo, they shouldn't have put those in, and maybe saved a comment on how much time has passed for right around the Landsmeet.

Before my husband joined the Army, he had long hair. I HATE doing my own, but would sit and play with his as long as he'd let me..lol

I think it's supposed to be about a year, hence the two "year" comments.  That's how I always rp it.  It seems a little odd to me, though, since we don't have a good concept of scale.  Like, I don't know how these events can take a year, but the Circle Tower is only a day from Redcliffe.

Lady Jess:  I am not fond of long hair on guys to begin with, though there are a few exceptions.

I think one year is a good estimate. It is mentioned twice in the game and although it's a little stupid because the convos can come up very early, I still think it's a good hint that your traipsing around Ferelden at least for a year, maybe even longer.

Considering that previous Blights have lasted decades, one or two years isn't too long.

I guess it depends on just how big Ferelden is. My problem with the year thing is that is seems the darkspawn would have taken the whole country in that amount of time.

That's how I feel about it.  ;)  Except that Leliana is not getting anywhere near the Maricstair.

Again, I'm not fussed about the braids because it's just one of those things you accept as gameplay.  LIke I used to not put any "makeup" on my PCs until I realized that they looked like ghouls without it.  I still try to keep it natural, but it's sort of like stage makeup, you need some of it just to make them look healthy and attractive.  I'm sure realistically, Alistair would not have an elaborate hairstyle anymore than my HNM would have.  More likely just pulling back the side strands into a little ponytail-type thing on the back of his head.

I usually avoid her as a mage, as a cousland she's Mama Wynne. But this mage is...bolder. She told her she stands by what she did with Jowan, lost no approval there. Until I told her I hated the circle. I'll probably annoy her again with Aleran, when I tell her hell no I'm not going back.

Which option gets you to stay in Denerim and annoy Anora. It isn't chancellor, because that renders you un-needed if they're married and you leave.

Edit.. Top o' The Page
