I am determined to use blood magic at Redcliffe this time. I don't want to be all good every time. Ali will get over it.cmessaz wrote...

I have never killed Isolde or Connor. Even when I first played the game I saved them. I can't bring myself to do it.Lady Jess wrote...

No, I never side with them. I just can't do it. I always take a hit with Alistair in Redcliffe. Even though I had the mage tower done, I sacrificed Isolde and let Jowan put me into the fade. Celeste felt since he didn't escape when he had the chance, she'd show he was trustworthy by letting him send her through the ritual. I chose the wrong option, I should have told him to run. o now he's back at the circle....

I was determined too. But I still couldn't bring myself to do it. My next mage, I plan to. Also I discovered that you can't execute Jowan yourself if you do the Urn quest before Redcliffe. Dangit so now I have to do that.klarabella wrote...

Siding with the Templars is easy, just tell the Knight-Commander in the end that there might be blood mages left.
As long as there are griffons in the story I wouldn't if Wynne talked less.Skadi_the_Evil_Elf wrote...
The conversation options I think are a little less with a mage if you do this. Seems with the circle destroyed, Wynne treads alot more lightly. Given her "condition", maybe it's a good thing.
Ack, think i was asleep when that was going on. And lol no, it's a guy, sorry for confusionAddai67 wrote...

I didn't realize Wynne would stay! I am a healing mage though, and I do better than her so it's not too big a deal if she left.Skadi_the_Evil_Elf wrote...

No, you can side with the templars and keep Wynne. Just side with Cullen after you have defeated Uldred and rescue the mages. Tell Gregoir you can't risk even one blood mage going free, and the circle will be annuled, but Wynne will stay.

... right. Guess my wiring goes just bit different, find the female form dang beautiful the way they naturally are so when it gets too exaggerated it just feels meh.For the romance scenes... i like leaving some things up to imagination, out of firm belief it can do much better work filling in the blank with what the reader/viewer actually finds smexy themselves, than the full-blown documentary style which is way easier to accidentally break down especially when the computers aren't really great at drawing it, so... yeah.

I'm playing Celeste a bit different than I usually do. She's doing her duty, but still out for herself. She never expected to have someone that loved her, and she loved back. But as sole king he'd have Eamon harping on him to marry. As sole Queen Anora would be too harsh. The two together, would even each other out and keep Eamon out of the picture. Anora is going to know straight out Celeste isn't going anywhere. And Celeste knows Anora won't touch Alistair with a ten foot polearm. The women may not like each other but they understand each other.

Further fodder for thought on the Maricstair look meaning Ali is spending hours in front of a little golden mirror:
The scruffyface cancels out that impression. To me, the scruffyface indicates that the look is more casual than his usual. I mean, if he's maintaining short hair, that means he's getting regular haircuts as well as shaving. For instance, I always had really short hair until after graduation I spent a year or two as a full-time farm hand and the only men I saw were hicks I didn't care to impress, so I ended up growing my hair longer because of it and I've kept it that way ever since.
Maricstair and HNM contemplating the virtues of longer hair + scruffyface:
"That look is good on you, man."
"You too, bro."
"Alright, let's go kick some darkspawn ass."
"Word."

I've never been able to side with the templars, but I go the Isolde sacrifice route about half the time now. Putting things on pause to go to the Circle and back is exposing that whole village as well as everyone in the castle to more of the same. They've suffered enough. I really don't think it's the "good" thing to do to leave them to it. If your character is a strict Chantry follower, you probably would still feel you have no choice, but otherwise you should have no expectation to come back to Redcliffe and find anything but a smoking ruin.LadyDamodred wrote...

My CE went that route -- didn't want to risk leaving the demon run free while going to the tower and with her own mother dead it was beyond her to sacrifice someone else's mother like that, but she was willing to kill Connor given the lack of other route. That ultimately ended with Isolde begging/forcing her way to stop it and then she did it herself. The whole thing made for extremely powerful scene imo, Isolde's VA is... well, i really can't dislike her the way people tend to, having witnessed that.LadyDamodred wrote...
