When SurelyForth gets back: What should I put Anders in? I left the Chasind robe back in Origins (stripped everyone in camp pretty much, but forgot Leliana). I put him in the male version of Wings of Velvet and he looks like he's in a circus get-up. I made him an Arcane Warrior and want to try some armor on him.
This is tough- I usually leave him in his standard issue until I get some better mage-specific loot. Or you can get Velanna and switch their robes- hers are stylistically the same as the Chasind robes and his look better on a female than they do a male.
I always make him AW, but I don't like the way he looks in armor without the helmet (it's the ponytail, I think). If you have Wade's Dragonskin, that would be nice for the low fatigue. Beyond getting him in robes I like, it's just a matter of upgrading his gloves and boots as I find the pieces or get the gold to buy them. Stormchaser gauntlets are good since they don't match their set and have pretty decent stats (but, they are pricey).
Now some gratuitous Anders. This is him in Wade's Dragonskin, sans helm:

And in Velanna's Keeper's Robes:

Ugh. I do not consider allowing you to play your dead Warden as disregarding the US ending. If they forced you to play with that Warden, then yes. But you don't have to do it.
I remember Gaider mentioned this awhile back and i can't find the thread.
He mentioned months ago, that if you import from after doing the US at the begining of Awakening, the game will make the assumption that you or Alistair took the Dark Ritual and both survived.

Because Awakening can't have two undead rotting corpses walking around... that would just be silly.

The point is, the DR is considered canon and the US isn't by playing a Dead Warden.

I have developed the annoying habit of not playing to the end but to start over instead.Merilsell wrote...
I know what you mean. I've played through Awakening once...and never touched it ever since. I rather fire up a new character in DA:O than to go through Awakening again. The companions there have half the appeal of the origin ones...and not only because of the lack of Alistair. I miss my merry band of lunatics in Awakening xD ...it's just not the same.
Though I plan to do the queen playthrough there still, since my other PC saw nothing of Alistair at Vigil's keep *sadface* Well only if Leandra ever ends the game, that's it.
I have abandoned three Couslands at the Landsmeet before my fourth Cousland finally saw the end of the Origins.
Now she's abandoned halfway through Awakening for Cousland five. <_<
And I have no idea what ending I'm going to import. I really liked the Loghain redeemer import. It had a special (very sad) feel about it. But I'm interested in the Mistress ending, too. Decisions, decisions. And in the end she will probably be replaced by Cousland six ... or something stupid like that.
Not to mention the other PCs waiting for attention (two mages, a dalish, two dwarfs).
LOL this sounds like me. And my daughter's BFF talked me into getting the Dalish mage mod so now I will have one of those too...decisions decisions. I haven't done a Cousland run since I installed IA and really curious about whats different in Highever now.

I don't understand. If you did the DR and bring in your warden, then you did the dark ritual. If you did the US, and play the Orlesian warden, your warden remains dead and the sacrifice was made. You don't have to import your dead warden and undo it.TheGrumpyOne wrote...

Curse you KoP! I have never seen that movie, and now never will. Aww he dies in Oblivion too. Poor dude.
That's one thing I really don't care for in Bethesda games. They have a tendency to only let you bond with one character and then kill them. Bit of a downer, that.
I've never actually played it, although I've seen it on Youtube. I simply can't allow that to happen.

The biggest complaint was, that yeah could could leave your Sacrifice ending, and start an Orlesian, but none of your dead warden's decisions would affect the new game. Alot wanted to leave their dead warden dead, but see the effects of what they'd done through the Orlesians playthrough.
Thing is, none of us...dead or not really saw any effect from what we'd done except which monarch showed up to greet us.
