IA Ali looks cartoonish to me.  Sort of artificial.  I think it's the eyes.

Nate's appeal to join the Wardens is soooo .  Not that my HNM looks at it that way, but his player wants to reach through the screen and pinch his cheeks.

You're right about Nate's robe comment. It also yields one of my favorite Anders' lines. Since Awakening doesn't work in the toolset, I cannot quote it correctly, but it makes me giggle-swoon.

I will never conscript Nate again. It feels much better to let him go and then make it his decision.

Well I'm not sure exactly what you're looking at but I assume it's the shoulder pieces.

"A pauldron typically consists of a single large dome-shaped piece to cover the shoulder (the "cop") with multiple lamés
attached to it to defend the arm and upper shoulder. On armour designed
for mounted combat, whether in the tournament or the field, the
pauldrons would usually be asymmetrical, with one pauldron sporting a
cut-away to make room for a lance-rest."

I haven't done that yet.  My HNF conscripted him, for a variety of reasons.  Other origins characters will probably let him go.

Plus you get the surprised, confused, and grateful look.  This time I made sure not to loot the chest beforehand, too, so that I could send him off with his family's belongings.

It is kind of fun to have him tell your Warden that she is a very strange woman, but still, I like his appeal too much to miss it anymore.
