I will never conscript Nate again. It feels much better to let him go and then make it his decision. 

Plus you get the surprised, confused, and grateful look.  This time I made sure not to loot the chest beforehand, too, so that I could send him off with his family's belongings.

It is kind of fun to have him tell your Warden that she is a very strange woman, but still, I like his appeal too much to miss it anymore.

Hrm.  I might have to try this.  I think I saved after I looted the chest though.  *frowns*  How long after letting him go does he come and ask to join?

Should be next time you fast travel.  Last night I had to go back to the Keep, though, he didn't appear on the way to Amaranthine.

Not sure actually; i think it counts when a person loads the picture... so if you paste just a text link for someone to click on, it would only count if they actually click. If you copy/paste the image link so the actual image is included in the post and loads automatically when someone views the post, then it's a guaranteed hit, so to speak

When you do that scene before meeting or even finding out about Goldanna it feels weird. Still sad but it doesn't really have the same sort of impact, I think.

Poor Alistair, he just wants to belong to a close family.  My HNF can sympathize having LOST that.  Always makes me hope while they won't be Al and PC's youngun's that she stays close to Fergus and (hopefully) his army of little Ferg's.
