You may wish to inform your sister that Tolkien did not invent elves and that they vary from culture to culture.

Have done so many times. She also didn't like Twilight, not because it was a bad movie, she didn't even watch it. She hated it because it wasn't true to vampire lore.Valentia X wrote...
The seven elf years is probably from LoTR. If memory serves, they don't hit adulthood until they're roughly 100 years old- before that, they're basically in an extended adolescence.

That is also D&D 3.0/3.5 rules, where elves hit maturity at about 120. And then it got switched all up in 4.0, so it's not like these things are immutable.

Your sister needs to crack open a book on Eastern mythos, then. Most of what people know today as standard vampire lore is different from the original lore as well. Not to mention Asian vampires are entirely different.

How does she feel about Santa's elves? Or does she imagine Elrond with a wooden mallet?

It is so disappointing that Alistair doesn't say anything here or when you hit on Teagan.
I always took it as "courtly flirtation" not really meaning anything. My PC always reasons that this poor man has been holding the village together, worried about his family and trying to deal with the crap thats going on almost singlehandedly. If she can provide a respite to forget even for a moment whats going on, then she has done her good deed for the day.
And either Al understands this or really doesn't have the confidence to grab her and say to Teagan "YES, Bann Teagan you ARE too damn bold!" then pull PC to a corner and kiss her thoroughly

Eh, Twilight wasn't that bad. I couldn't really get into it though since they were all so young. It's hard for me to relate to teenagers anymore. Same goes for the CW show Vampire Diaries. Bram Stoker's Dracula is still the best vampire movie ever made imo.
Yeah, I just reloaded because Alistair had no imput. I'm just going to try to side step his awkward comments this time so, it flows more naturally. I wasn't overly flirtatious w/ him during the origin.

I loved Buffy. I haven't really watched much TV since it was canceled.

Serissia- Bram Stoker's dracula is one of my favorite books/movies ever. Queen of the Damned was awsome. Interview with the vampire was ok, and I actually don't like Twilight. Nothing will top Bram Stoker though. I'm listening to Static X "Cold" from queen of the Damned right now, strangly enough.
The one with Gary Oldman right? cause that movie was awesome. I saw that the first time in a movie theatre...sitting RIGHT up front and it FELT like I was in the castle with Harker.
I love the Rose song from that movie too.

I liked Interview with the Vampire but I wasn't that keen on Queen of the Damned. I like the books better than either movie. The first Underworld wasn't too bad but the sequels not so much.
True Blood is the only current vampire themed show I'll watch. The show is actually oddly better than the books and I've read them all but the latest. Alan Ball does an excellent job translating C. Harris's work into TV.

Do you think Fergus would mind if my HNF and Alistair stole one of his kids? >.>
He better not, since I imagine that's Plan B for a huge number of Queen Couslands.
HNF: You know what name is awesome for a boy?
Fergus: Let me guess...Duncan?
HNF: How did you know?
Fergus: *sigh*
Hahahaha, yeah. I'd imagine Fergus would be a good sport about it.
It's kind of surprising that there isn't more Fergus love in the forum. He seems like a really decent guy with a good sense of humor.

He's married. Or he was. Plus the only time you meet him, you're sort of related. Otherwise, I'd totally go for him.
