It's IA but I'm not sure why.  It makes it so Alistair is warming his hands by the fire while my PC is kissing the air.  It's funny but annoying.

Warden commander, without a doubt. Stamina bonuses so he can shield bash away while holding all those nifty sustained abilities.

And personally, I think it's the armor he looks the absolute smexiest in.

Yea I just did that scene yesterday IA installed on my Dalish and it works fine. No issues.

Well, it's not just IA it's IA conflicting w/ some dialogue/cut scene changes I'm using.  I think I can fix it anyhow.  I had it fixed before I wiped/redid all my mods.

Equipping all of Cailan's gear with Maric's sword also gives very impressive bonuses.  I'm not up on actual numbers, though.

That sounds like the initial bug that was in the game before the fixes.

Done with the Joining and still no Forgotten Armor. Was hoping it would turn up once I got out of the Wilds... but alas. I am a sad, sad panda.

Two possible reasons. Either you have more than one instance of files which have name start with "63010_party_camp_kiss_race" in your override directory and one of them is broken/vanilla version, or you don't have the fixed version of these files in your override directory to begin with, and the game is reverting to the default version of the scene.

I get the feeling sometimes the elder not so nice wardens actually watch morbidly placing side bets on who doesn't choke on it and die?  I love the look on Alistair's face at that moment too.

What sword is this? This seems to be something I haven't discovered--pretty amazing after all this time!

It's a sword you get from the Elven Messenger that runs around in Ostagar. If you lie to him and pass a persuade check, or intimidate him (no check needed), you get Ser Garlen's Sword. It's the best longsword you can give Alistair by that time if you have him as your tank imo, what with the boost to physical resistance and all. Turns out you can get more physical resistance boostage when you equip it with a Studded Helmet and the Superior Dwarven Guard Armor you get from the DN origin.

Ah! I've never talked to the Elven messenger. I can't see my PC taking his sword, but that's a new conversation, yay!

That scene always kind of freaks me out cause my first thoughts would be "Am I drooling? Did I wet myself?" etc...something embarrassing at that moment.

Yeah, I got it working.  It's my own fault for mixing and matching dialogue fixes from the manual install packs.
