That's how I am about Wynne. She's the character I love to hate. Brilliantly well written, considering that a lot of people think of her as all goody-two-shoes and like their mom. That used to be my take, too, then after a couple playthroughs I started to think about a few of her tendencies and dialogues and thought "you know... you suck." LOL Even my current "good" mage told her thanks but no thanks. Who wants an old bat from the Circle looking over your shoulder all the time.cmessaz wrote...
Good character, but I still hate her. That doesn't mean her character isn't well written.

You too lmao. I know you can change that but still it is annoying, either she freezes you or your enemies at once and takes away your kill lmao
In Awakenings since Ander's is constantly in my group I have him learn the spells for storm of the century and I'll take control of him, send my PC out in the middle of, taunt everyone so their all gathered around her, then Ander's will cast force field on her then create storm of the century. That is a badass spell combo

Yeah, Wynne irks me too. But I have never told her no. I really need to grow a pair in some playthroughs. Gaider did a beautiful job with DA and I can't wait to dig into the books.Addai67 wrote...

I told her to stay at the circle. My character has healing abilities and I already had Morrigan. I didn't need another mage but the Circle definitely needed her there to help rebuild. It worked out for the best, I didn't have to hear her preachy BS again <_<

They should of at least had one of these scenes where he's looking towards the camera like the guard behind him, so we could get a full face view of him lol. Oh well, I'm happy with what we get
Sexy Rex.

This time around I'm doing Alistair as DW, Leliana as an archer, Morrigan as a haste/heal bot. I've never used Morrigan as a main party member before and I wanted to give it a try. She usually keeps Sten company as a permanent camp member. I find her slightly more tolerable on this mage, she's like a taboo source of arcane knowledge.
Oddly enough on my mage I haven't been able to really get on Shale's good side. She seems to have a begrudging admiration of my mage skills but little else. Worthless pile of rocks! Oh well, it's not like she ever leaves the camp for anything but Caridin vs Branka.

It's odd, I can't stand preachy nagging IRL, but I absolutely love Wynne. She doesn't really come off as overbearing to me in game. Actually a lot of what she says is spot on, especially about the romances if you're with Morrigan or Alistair (even if it's not what you want to hearyukidama wrote...

She's probably my most used character outside of Morrigan/Leliana.

Yukidama, every time I try to edit your morph, it looks like crap. I can't believe how long I have spent on this. Maybe I'll just make another Amell.
Maybe she's resistant to change? Haha, dunno.

My mage is specced spirit healer, but only takes the group heal, she also takes the single heal. tHe rest is damage and Wynne and Morrigan cook.

I haven't been able to kill her yet. Well, my last mage did, but I reloaded. It was just to relieve the tension from being forced to take her along in Broken Circle.cmessaz wrote...

I think Sheryl Chee wrote Wynne. *checks Wiki* Yes, and Leliana, the other NPC that's like nails on a chalkboard for me. I no longer want a slap Leliana mod, but it's touch and go. I do like her elven song.
But Gaider's characters and quests tend to be my favorites: Zevran, Alistair, Morrigan, Shale in Origins, Nathaniel in Awakening, (not sure who wrote Sigrun??), and Blackmarsh was my favorite quest in Awakening.

You mean Alistair puppydog eyes? He has nothing to say about Wynne staying behind. She doesn't mind you declining her offer, either, if you do it nicely. You could always go back and get her if you change your mind.cmessaz wrote...

If i'm playing a Mage, i leave her in camp. I'm often a healer and i have Morrigan as a Damager. I always take Alistair, Sten and Dog "Thanks to the extra dog slot."
If i'm playing an elf, then i use her as a healer.
