Call Katriel beautiful one more time... I didn't get that she was ~beautiful~ with ~honey colored curls~ the first thousand times.

Lol, sorry, it's a pet peeve of mine. :pinched:

Conversation for romance scene with Alistair in Vigil's Keep

Alistair: Something you need, my dear

PC: I think it's time I gave you the... private tour.

Alistair: I think I can guess what the highlight is going to be.

PC: Let's just say you'll appreciate our lampposts in winter.

It was rather cute lmao

But how does it explain why he's there? It could be a gamebreaker for me. If he was running away to rebuild the wardens with me than thats cool, but as king not so much.

You know what's strange? I think I have no idea what Severan looks like. Arguably a character that is as important. Does anybody remember what he's described as looking like? Is it, "Just some mage?"

I just hate all that purple overwrought description. And I just got to some creeper line about Maric ~understanding~ he appeal of elven women after checking out her "ample cleavage" and thinking how she seemed like a "delicate creature". Ugh, dude....<_<

Dunno. He isn't beautiful with big boobs though, or we'd have been reminded every other line.

Maybe he is a big beautiful bear with magnificent man boobs. We'll never know. They forgot to mention, and now we can make him whatever we want. I'm going to imagine him as Meatloaf from Fight Club.

Sorry it took so long I had to gt the King version and the Warden version
I'll let you be the judge lol.

PC: Alistair, my love!  What are you doing here?

Alistair: Ah, yes, well.  You see, it's like this.  I was planning on... that is, I was going to...

Alistair: Now look, are you truly so cruel that you'll just stand there and let me ramble on like this all day?  Because I will you know, and at some point that just becomes embarrasing for both of us!

King Alistair

PC: I just thought your royal duties had you busy.

Alistair:  The first thing I learned after becoming king is that there's always someone else happy to do the actual ruling part.  Besides, I think I can do most good here.

Warden Alistair

PC: I thought you were away fighting darkspawn.

Alistair: Oh, I was.  But I hear you have "talking" darkspawn up here.  Mine were all "grunt this" and "hiss that".  I had to carry the entire conversation.  Besides, I thought I could do more good near you.

It's kind of comical lol, I'm curious if the maker is going to add in any jealousy convo's lol

Maybe he should wear Chasind style robes so he can show off his ample cleavage and be ogled by the king.

It's a LOT harder to fake a pregnancy and birth than to prove who the daddy is.  Just sayin'.  This is why they used to have witnesses at royal births, to make sure there was no switcheroo.

Eamon, Teagan and Fergus would be suitable witnesses... just saying.  No one would have a reason to doubt any of them.  If there needed to be a mage present Wynne or Anders would be suitable.  It's definately do able.

I sure as hell would NOT want Eamon within 20 miles of my kid.  Teagan and Fergus can witness (and Fergus is pushing it as he would be the PC's brother).  But I trust them.  Eamon not so much

I mean that I think it has to be high.  My blood mage was not popular with her, either, since she admitted to killing Caridin.

Shale still returned to Orzammar even when you didn't kill Caridin?  I can can just use a Feast Day gift to boost her up to close to 100 if I need to.

Don't know if someone answered this but the higher your approval with Shale the more it changes what she will do.  I didn't do her personal quest and her approval was only around mid 60s if that high I think with me (Part of it was I wanted to get to the end of the game and didn't want to go slogging into the damn deep roads again and another part was I kinda forgot to talk to her after Caridin).  High end approval gets the Tevinter/dwarfy shale ending.  Lower approval gets the "goes off to help the dwarves fight darkspawn" ending I believe.  I only did it once and was surprised at her talk after the battle, having expected her to just do the same thing.  I wonder if others have similar changed destinies depending on approval.

Does anyone know what the other companions do at low approvals as long as they stayed with you?  I can't imagine Hostile Alistair would remain with you in the wardens even if you didn't make him king. Zevran would be gone unless you friended him, then pissed him off after the encounter with Taliesen.  But I don't think anyone has a trigger thats so programmed in game for leaving. Its not as a choice the player does (Like siding with the Templars or Branka or defiling the ashes)

Someone give me some motivation to make it through TST. I've managed to read like, 10 pages in the last hour. It's so boring....

It is your duty as a faithful Alistairian to finish The Stolen Throne.

Go, my daughter, and be joyous in your duty.

Yes, ma'am. I'd rather run around Denerim with my pack of Ser Pounce-a-lots though :[

How far are you?  I thought it go better once they reached the Deep Roads.  So, if you're not that far you have something to look forward to.

I'm on page 155, it is taking me FOREVER to read it. I think it may be because I pause every scene where Loghain and Rowan are together to roll my eyes for a good minute.

Yea I couldn't stomach the Loghain Love fest that is the books. Posted Image  The Calling seems more and more interesting to me though having yall talk about it on the boards.  I am curious about Maric.  He's more my type of guy not that skeevy Loghain.

I wonder what the actual ruling part should look like. I'm not sure most of us even understand what it means. I'm not sure Bioware knows what that means. I'm afraid we all have a rather modern view on what ruling a country should be like.

For example, I thought holding court would be once a month, not on a daily basis. Also the King wouldn't jump at everyone's whims immediately. Without instant messaging things go a lot slower. Spending a week or two at the Vigil before traveling to the Bannorn in order to look all kingly and important? Entirely possible.

The cameo is cute but it doesn't work for me.

Can't read TST either. I have it here but I've stopped reading after Maric met Loghain. I wanted to punch Loghain immediately. I flicked through the pages and read the end ... when Katriel met her fate ... and Rowan accepted hers. Then I wanted a sword to decapitate him right then and there.

I really don't like Loghain. I don't even like him when he's supposed to be likeable.

I had to skim through TST because it was a bit rough going after the beginning. I loved Rowan and Maric, but hated Loghain and was 'meh' on Katriel. So, yeah, I did pretty much what you did- hit the highlights and moved on to The Calling which was infinitely better, both from a technical perspective and a characterization perspective. If Katriel had been half as awesome as Fiona, Katriel's end would have put me in a Sad Coma for a few hours.

Lol, ILU Alistair but I find it creepy too. Not the idea of the scene, really, but the fact that they couldn't narrow his eyes a bit and make him not look all bug eyed and uncanny valleyish. He's just all 8|

Yeah, the cameo lines would break it for me for a couple reasons.  One, it doesn't really sound like Alistair, although the Warden Alistair with the darking darkspawn does, and two the king one would ****** my character righ teh eff off.

I wanted to say none of the cameos work for me so far, neither the mod nor the original one.
That's why I prefer to play Awakening with Alistair completely out of the picture - exiled or dead.

Top of the page duty - no Alistair, but Ser Gilmore (DA Redesigned)
