I wonder what the actual ruling part should look like. I'm not sure most of us even understand what it means. I'm not sure Bioware knows what that means. I'm afraid we all have a rather modern view on what ruling a country should be like.

For example, I thought holding court would be once a month, not on a daily basis. Also the King wouldn't jump at everyone's whims immediately. Without instant messaging things go a lot slower. The cameo is cute but it doesn't work for me.

Yeah, the cameo lines would break it for me for a couple reasons.  One, it doesn't really sound like Alistair, although the Warden Alistair with the darking darkspawn does, and two the king one would ****** my character righ teh eff off.

I wanted to say none of the cameos work for me so far, neither the mod nor the original one.
That's why I prefer to play Awakening with Alistair completely out of the picture - exiled or dead.

wow I really need to do a HN story again now that I have that installed.  He looked good before but this is nice!  It also makes him different enough I can imagine the corpse in Fort Drakon isn't him.

I am seriously suffering from Dragon Age withdrawal. Won't be able to touch the game for another three weeks. Maybe now would be a good time to hash out that fic I had rolling around in my head... Hmm...

You know, if I ever once saw a shield decap when I had him S&S, I might not have ever switched him to DW.

PS. You should write!  It's fun, even when it's miserable and a decent substitute when can't play the game.

You know the terrible thing, I saw them all the time, but since I've started hunting for one to screencap...nothing.  It's possible I could be missing some, but geh!  Irritating!

He was a Rivani.  So, more or less like Duncan but probably slimmer and less sturdy since he wasn't an AW or Battle Mage.

Ohh, elf wedding dress



Well not exactly since it's apparently intended to be a robe, and it's not for elves (yet) and it's work in progress... but dang, makes me want to dress my city elf in that

I don't think he's ever done a shield decapitation in any of my playthroughs. Or he did and I just missed it; it's so easy to get lost in everything that's going on, especially in huge battles. And yes, writing is the only thing that can fill the gaping void in my heart during my time away from my desktop. That and you Alistairians, of course. Because you guys are awesome. x3

The problem with me and fanfics though is that I mull over an idea for such a looong time that I end up not getting any writing done at all. I have two fics I'm constantly thinking about but I haven't written a single word for either of them yet. D; It's looking good in my head so far, though.

It would probably be much like what you saw in Awakening as an Arl/Arlessa but to a larger extent.  Even in Awakening you can pawn off your duty as Arl/Arlessa onto Senschal Varel.  The day to day ruling and petty grievances could easily be handled by Eamon.  It probably isn't that much different than what he was doing at Redcliff.

As for the actual ruling it sounds like much in the show The Tudors.  There probably isn't much convening during the winter because the harsh weather would make it hard for travel.  The Landsmeet is most likely held every summer and that's when all of the most import issues are decided and delt with. 

When Alistair talks about an issue in the Bannorn during the cameo it sounds as if two free holder lords are on the verge of/are warring.  He has to go step in and settle the matter.

Yea I wish these were elf wearable too.  Some of them would look really nice on an elf

BTW TMP I downloaded your elf proportionate armor clad mod and my elves look SO much better now. Thanks!

yea ideas knock around in my head and then I have trouble putting them to words.  And my grammar is horrid! So I tend to be shy about posting things online. 

I have 2 ideas knocking about right now wanting me to do something with them but I just stare at the empty document and shrug not finding a way to work them out in words.

@sylvanaerie Thanks for the tips of Shale and her approval for the ending. I shouldn't have too much issue keeping her approval still friendly but low. I can cheat and use the Feast Day stuff to lower or raise it as needed. I swear that pile of rocks will go fight the darkspawn!

I've never seen a shield decap, either.

I think the Maker spec'ed our Alistairs out for DW.  It was just meant to be.

It's really weird that you never see a S&S decap. I suppose I'm more used to looking for them since it's my most played character, but still, weird.



nranola: Just write. I like to think about things, too, but at some point you need to just park your butt in a chair and write.



syl: Grammar and all that stuff is easy enough to deal with. If you need someone to go through and fix that and things for consistency, I'd be more than happy to. Just pm me. I do it for a couple other people (who I won't name since things remain unpublished), and KoP does it for me, but it works really well when a fresh set of eyes can look over your stuff.

Now THIS is freaking scary...kind of like "Bride of Dracula" meets "Xena".  Its a wonder Vaughan didn't soil himself, surrender, bow down and kiss her feet and give each of the women 30g to make amends...
