No I don't see it that way. Hardened Alistair really doesn't mind that his "true love" is approaching him with an idea to marry another woman. Unhardened is "flaberghasted". If he isn't going to be king, he is better unhardened imo. As a HNF, I am there to help him. Telling him to stop being a nice guy isn't good for me. I hate it in fact. You're not telling him to stop being a nice guy.  You're telling him that other people will be out to use him, so he needs to 1) protect himself and 2) it's okay for him to be happy too.  He can be selfish and it's okay.

Yeah, I think you're telling him that he doesn't have to throw himself under the bus in the name of duty every time the opportunity comes along. It's okay to take what he wants into account. Hardened Alistair is still more inclined to go for duty than anything els, and still wants to be nice to people, even when it's not in his best interests. While he's willing to consider the mistress thing when hardened, his first reaction is that it's not fair to the PC or his future queen. He still has to be convinced that it's acceptable.

And again, if I am making him king I have no problem hardening him. Unhardened Alistair truly wants to remain a grey warden, which I don't see as a bad thing. I may not like Anora, but I don't mind riding into the sunset with Alistair to rebuild the wardens. I mostly leave him unhardened with some of my Queen Couslands just to change up the playthrough.

I might try this with my current HNF.  Valora is very businesslike, accepts responsibilites etc.  Katherine on the other hand is SNARKY and usually opts for the nastier responses in conversations (She told Dairren to go soak his head) and told her father "Why should I care" (about the Gray Wardens).  She couldn't care less about politics and responsibilities and such.  Will probably leave Alistair unhardened and go for warden ending with him.

My newest character is a human, female noble. She is a cunning, manipulative, self-serving woman,. She knows that you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar, so she endeavors to appear charming and respectful of authority. She is initially attracted to Leliana but upon learning that Alistair is the bastard heir to the throne, she puts aside her feelings for Leliana and sets about romancing Alistair and preparing him for the throne (hardening him), with the ambition of becoming queen.



So far it's a fun character to play :-) But I feel sorry for Alistair being taken advantage of.

The hardening and not hardening just really depends on how you are playing. Actually the pc who craves power ought to not harden him, as she would rule.

If you have winter forge you can actually MAKE it in your game.  Will you be able to figure it from that? or no?

She loved Bryce, I just can't resist making a Daddy's Girl but she's the kind of spoiled lil princess who gives daddies headaches and sleepless nights.  She will mature a lot during her adventures.

Aha! easy way... http://www.dragonage.../file.php?id=80 Anora's dress as a mage robe! I'm being a dork. I'm changing into the dress at the Archdemon, and then making my hair less tousled and messy (Morri-hair or double buns? halp!!), so when I am in the coronation scene I LOOK like a soon to be queen.

I really wanted a hairstyle for Alexa that was wild and curly and long. But none exist sadly. Thats kinda where I'm stuck at te moment. I can't find hair I like.
