LOL! Yep, he's clearly thinking 'Maker's Breath! A shield would really come in handy right about now.'
(I always like to have 2 s&s warrior so that if one get's grabbed by an ogre, the other can make it drop him/her. I like 2 templars for the same sort of reason--two people who can use cleanse area in case the other get's a crushing prison or something)

My mantra: kill it fast enough and it can't grab you. I think that, having not had a tank in almost 10 playthroughs, I've been grabbed once. And that was in Awakening, when my PC was yanked by the armored troll in Amaranthine and hung out filing her nails while he tried, in vain, to lower her health past 95%.

Just keep a rogue or two around.  Dirty Fighting works on ogres, somehow.

Paralysis runes are also a big win.  Once we paralyzed the High Dragon.  I had to LOL.

I've tried DW Alistair through the Sacred Ashes chain and into RtO and I have to say I agree w/ LadyDamodred; Alistair needs to be S&S. It just feels wrong having him run around dual wielding.

The way he swings the swords just doesn't feel right.

You guys are hopeless.  I give up.

Lmao I have to agree with Addai on this one.  I prefer Alistair a DW.  So much more action to him.
He's so much more yummier to watch swinging both swords lmao

Well, to each their own. It's not like I have never tried it. But I play with a tank and I am rarely that tank. So Alistair gets sword and board. So at least I am not saying I dislike him deul wielding without at least trying first. Ya gotta at least give me that, right?Posted Image

Hmm...Can anyone tell me what the difference is between Zev's in love line, and his friend line at the Denerim city gates is? I can't really see one.

After ejoslin's fix or before?

After the fix, he is supposed to tell you as friend that by your side he would go with you to the Black City.  In love, he'll say that assassinating you was the luckiest thing that ever happened to him.  Before the fix, he says the Black City for in love and for friend he will talk about finding the archdemon and teaching it a lesson, that it should have stayed in whatever hole it crawled out of.

Crap. I'm getting both of those on my rogue, and they're friends.

Uhh... my memory may be failing me.  If in love, I know he says "if this should be the last we meet..."  Is he saying that?  You also have a dialogue option to tell him you love him (*little sob*... can't believe before this fix you could never tell Zevran you loved him unless you were leaving him at the gates and he took it as a cruel stab).

On my CEF in love with him I get "if this is the last we speak" part and the black city, but the lines after that are pretty much the same for my rogue minus the i love you. And Alistair won't KiSS ME!!:crying:

Alistair's gate kiss scenes are broken unless he is at "still in love" I was going to look at repairing them until I saw that charsen was.

The shield bash is sexy, I'll give them that.  And prior to getting the respec mod I just left him to his default set-up, except for my first HNM incarnation when I was trying to play S& S myself (Maker, what a bore).  But respec mod makes life easier both on the rogue NPC and the warrior NPC side.

Still in love means he dumped you or you dumped him but didn't lose any approval during the process. Then you can say "I still love you I don't care what you say" And he will say "Then I wont SAY anything" and kiss you.

They do?  I've never heard that or if I have I don't remember lol.  I definitely need to pay MORE attention lmao.

Ser Bryant in Lothering will bring it up if you question him about what's going on w/ Loghain/Denerim.  It's also mentioned amongst the rumors (which is basically what circulates amongst the common folk).  There's one rumor that the reason that Anora is barren is because it's a curse from the Maker himself for a commoner being brought into the royal bloodline.  This of course is actually ironic considering Calenhad himself was a commoner.

It seems that Theirin men have a tendency to accomplish great things then just disappear.  When the scandle of an affair wracked Calenhad he advocated in favor of his unborn son and disappeared.  Then Maric is lost at sea...

Lol how very true.

I think the reason I like him as a DW is because my PC's a DW and watching both carry out the same moves at the exact same time can be totally awesome.  Makes that fighting side by side so much more fun lol.

Wow. I REALLY need to try more things. I don't know why I haven't, in Oblivion I spoke to everyone in existance. At one time I could tell you the name of everyone in Cyrodiil.

Well then Kasha can just camp out at the gates til she can get a kiss...rofl. Ok maybe not. It is disturbing that she is getting the whole storm the black city thing, and allow me to say my friend assassinating you was the best...from Zev. I thougt the friend zev lines were completely different from the friendship one, but I guess it's more subtle...lol

Good. That makes me feel a little better. I loved that game, I still do, though I can't get into it as well now that I have DA.

Sexy S&S Alistair

I'm still finding new things in the game after all this time.  There's still romances and endings I haven't tried too.  Though that's more because I just can't bring myself to do it than anything else.

I will admit to playing through  a couple of times to get the sad break up. It is sweet that he still loves the PC and it changes up some of the dialogue.

Aaaaieee, I got assaulted by sight of that painful mage thong disaster the first thing when I looked at the DA Nexus page. It's listed as a "hot file". You've got to be kidding me.

Serissia-that is the dwarven ones for me. I have not taken one out of Lothering. I did a city elf only 1 time, and that was on the PS3 in Dec. CE is a good story, but I for some reason just like playing humans. My sister is different, she would prefer to play elves.

??  Zevran also says something about assassinating you being the best thing etc. when he's friended.  Why is it disturbing?

I'd have to log on to check exact wording.

Thor-Honestly I am not familiar with modding Oblivion, I always play it on my PS3. The graphics are FAR better because it was released so much later than the xbox and the pc versions. I own the PC version as well as Morrowind, however.

I don't like elves in DA.  I can't deal w/ the whole second class citizen crap.  I'd rather play a human and enjoy myself than play an elf and be disgusted.

The only thing S&S Alistair has on my AW is health.  *flex* ;)
