Thanks for the pic though, I never actually noticed that, but then again I only surrendered once and wasn't paying much attention.
So, noone else has trouble actually beating Ser Cauthrien, huh? I suck that badly.....sad.

I'd bet most of the good voice actors haven't played the game they voiced. Can you see Patrick Stewart or Sean Bean playing Oblivion? Or Kate Mulgrew or Tim Russ playing DA?
Would be cool, though...

I used to love Crossing Jordan when I was younger, Bug and Nigel were my favorite characters. It was definitely a pleasant surprise to hear Steve voicing Alistair.
If I were an actor it'd be too weird for me to play a game with a character I voice, or watch a movie/tv show I was in.

I read in an interview somewhere that he hasn't played DA:O (same for Zevran's VA, Jon Curry). These guys have no idea what a phenom they have caused.

So, love for Steve Valentine, yes? We have been watching some old Crossing Jordan shows on DVD. You start to forget that he voices Alistair, because he looks so different and also the accent and cadence is different, but every once in awhile there's an "Alistair" moment.
This is also a very cute photo from his blog and reminds me of the lydlyd shot of Alistair I posted yesterday.

I have to wonder if they get any creepy fanmail. Besides, I think it would probably be weird as hell to hear your voice coming out of someone else's face. Regular animation is fine, but games are a little more realistic.

Bratt you and I think alike. It is almost (emphasis on almost) as sad when Martin dies as when Alistair does.

Who is Martin?
Oh I assumed you had played Oblivion. Martin is the prince (bastard prince, sound familiar) that Sean Bean voiced.Bratt1204 wrote...

LMAO I was soooo pissed! Have you ever noticed the "help, someone's been murdered!" Or "By the nine! There is a phsychopath on the loose!" That goes on in the battle for Bruma?SurelyForth wrote...

Martin Septim in Oblivion. He's voiced by Sean Bean. It's literally the only redeeming feature that character has.
*Grumbles about taking two hours of her life protecting Martin during the Defense of Bruma because ****** couldn't put on a proper set of armor*

And try getting that stupid great Welkynd stone before talking to him about it! He goes to the battle in his robe and a helmet!
Oh, he is fine.Bratt1204 wrote...
Such a shame he does not look like Alistair
He's going to be the lead for the new HBO series based on the Song of Ice and Fire novels. Very excited.Bratt1204 wrote...
don't get me started on Sean Bean *swoons*
LMAO Watching him march to battle in his stupid robes and a helmet...priceless. I think I killed more innocents (unintentionally) in that game that enemies. Good thing for Dragon Age! No accidental innocent slaughtering!SurelyForth wrote...

Yes! While I like random murder for random murder's sake, I'm kind of happy that accidental stabbings can't happen in DAO.
And I found the Welkynd stone before I even got to Kvatch. When that bug reared its head I had ~80 hours of game under my belt. I just rolled with it, figuring hey, I'm the Madgod, right? How hard could it be to keep this piece of wood alive? That joke was on me.
