Hmm if they wanted to explore the "darkspawn side of the story" i'd imagine there's more interesting potential in say, following the adventures of that darkspawn guy who comes to warn you in the Awakenings (if you set him free afterwards he apparently becomes kind of a lone masked hero sort of guy, who helps travellers in trouble)



The one they announced feels like something that's going to be really small and well, pointless.

Yep.  If we're pathetic enough to post on these forums every day, we obviously have no lives and need no great marketing scheme to win over.  That's why I'm still mad at myself for spending 40 bucks on Awakening the day it was released.  It would have been worth 20, but not 40.

I PREORDERED it the first day it was available to do so on Steam! But you know, it was fun. I did enjoy most of it until the end slides. And hey, now with mods I can have my favrite items in Origins so...worth it.

Ugh. I think I will pass on the new DLC. I just don't get a charge out of playing the villain. They do such a good job with character interaction (even Awakenings has some gems IMO) that I'm disappointed there won't be room for that.



Also, no way I'm killing Alistair. I can't even bring myself to spare Logain to set up a potential wandering drunk follow up.

Easy....I don't know about that. Not as bad as Awakening in the OC. But I have used an earlier release a month or so ago and really liked it. Plus the person won't change Alistair which I like.

Will change Alistair with 6.9 - but it's optional like Morrigan and Leliana.

REALLY! I thought they said they wouldn't do Alistair!

I know, but someone posted a headmorph yesterday and obviously they changed their opinion. He must have already been in the aesthetics version.

Yup, I preordered too.  I liked everything but the ending and the dialogue system of Awakening though so, I can't complain too much.

I think I'm going to go DL that armor.  My Alistair is really only for eye candy at this point anyhow.  Does that set have a matching shield?  It didn't before.

For some darn reason I can't get the shield to work though.

Serissia- The shield is there now, but I can't get the retexture to work on the shield or swords, only the armor.

Don't apologize, Cmessaz. Didn't mean it as a bad thing. /although I hate the idea of playing as a Darkspawn, I wanna buy it simply to see more Alistair (which it what they are counting on, or they wouldn't have mentioned it I'm sure). It would be nice to see him as he might have been if he had taken Duncan's place. I expect to be disappointed by it, of course but I'll look at it as a sad thing. Maybe they portray him as having to grow up in a hurry, having watched the PC and others die, then Duncan and Calian. I'm interested to see how he'll be. But to me, 5 more seconds of Alistair at all is worth $5. Even if I hate it. *shrug* That's me though. Anything to help tide me over till part 2.

Even if it involves a Morrigan romance? That will kill it. I would probably buy it since I have the points just layin around, but not if that is involved.

He's very hot in the black, agreed.  Unfortunately my DW Ali doesn't have enough strength to wear WCA at the moment, let alone Runic armor.  That's the downside of DW for him in my book.  Though if I could get Shadow Warden armor to work again, all would be well.

It's in Wynne Replacement Morph it's called Natural Wynne.

I haven't read the post, tbh.  Is that confirmed?  Or just speculation since she's in it too?  I don't see them going to all that trouble but I could be in denial.  An Ali/Morrigan thing would suck a** but I'm like that cat with the curiousity issue.

More Alistair anything is potential awesomeness or potential disaster.  But I hope we get a choice to play as Alistair or another Warden rather than just as a darkspawn.  Teh evil is really not my thing.

Heh, the only way I can see playing this is if my darkspawn commander can make them all lie down and wait to die, and I can just watch Alistair kill them. It would be over in five minutes, but might be sort of fun.
EDIT: Oh, I know! I could make them do tactically stupid things and get them wiped out.

Nothing is confirmed it was just my speculation.  I just took Alistair's unhardened personality into account and the fact that there's Morrigan and golems in the screen shots.  Putting two and two together it isn't that hard to believe that perhaps something happened between the two of them and she became what the PC was to Alistair in Origins in your absence.

That's close to the one I'm using.  Old was never the problem for me, it was the fact she had hooker pink makup on that killed me.
