Hey, when you find a good story, run with it, eh?

It's a common enough theme, though, that I'm not particularly bothered by it. As long as the story is well-told and well-written, it's all good, imo.

If they bring Steve Valentine back as Alistair, I would be psyched.  However, as I said in the VA thread, they absolutely should not bring back any of the VAs if they're not reprising their roles.  We come to associate the voice/characters too closely and it would ruin it.

Hey, did anyone noticed the new staff design in Awakening? I'm trying to create a version for Origins, what was the name of the staff? Anyone remember?

He plays RPG's, FPS's (which make me physically ill) and racing games. I play RPG's, platformers and the Sims. We both love Rock Band. It's a nice balance.

I agree that the VA's in Dragon Age are irreplaceable. I'd rather have written correspondances or zero Alistair/Zev/Morrigan or Leliana than the actual chracters with the wrong voices.

It gets dropped by a Disciple in Amaranthine (he's with the armored ogre). It's a real staff, fairly decent for a drop, and it's description is something like "This staff is unnaturally cold. It would be unwise to lick it."

As many times as I've played this game and done the break out scene I have never noticed that.  Makes me even more glad I killed Howe and makes me more determined to see Loghain dead even if it is by Alistair's hand.  Loghain may not of killed my family, may not of known anything about it even. He still supported this by allowing Howe to continue and heaping him with even more titles.  Rewarding him for destroying and butching families.  Makes me sick!

Yeah, I actually didn't catch that until my second playthrough. Too bad Garavel is such an ass.

Oh I assumed you had played Oblivion. Martin is the prince (bastard prince, sound familiar) that Sean Bean voiced.

Oh yes, I did notice that. Teagan's voice is very hard to miss. xD Though speaking of voice actors, I really liked the one who did Varel. I get the feeling he voiced The Withered as well.

Heh, it got missed in the posting flurry, but there is. It gets dropped at the end and is fierce looking.

I, of course, give it to Anders. If anyone could appreciate a nice double-entendre, it would be him.

He's going to be the lead for the new HBO series based on the Song of Ice and Fire novels.  Very excited.

I will need to keep an eye out for that - I just adore him.
