I didn't mind paying 40 dollars for Awakening because the replay value of origins was so high that I felt they deserved my money and the benefit of the doubt. However, the lack of importance and relationships in Awakening has taken the bloom off the rose. I'm now in the wait-and-see camp when I used to be in the buy-DLC-asap camp. I liked RtO because it added more interactions with a few people in the party. I don't really care about loot.

I'm in the same camp with you with the same thought.

I might get the DLC now that I think about it because I'd like to see what kind of a person Alistair is when he has no one to lean on. I wonder if Morrigan even talked him into the ritual at all. And as for not wanting to see Alistair die, that's probably a moot point because there are going to be some people coming in here sharing pictures of Alistair dying just to get a rise out of the regular posters here. You'll see it one way or another. =p

That would be interesting to see but I'm not sure if i want to buy the game just for that though.

I guess i see that as problem from the design point of view -- people who pick these games so they can experience "visceral combat" etc rarely do it so they can experience they're part of the team suck, and having such sensation can be detrimental to the overall enjoyment... and well, taking away from the player's fun and/or going against their expectations is pretty much opposite to the good design. It's just not very well thought out, imo, sort of like they're trying to force square peg in round hole.

You would be mortified to see some of the things on Nexus. Dig through the darker spots and...wow.

No ma`am. I'm frustrated right now because my game just crashed and I hadn't saved in forever. You'd think I'd learn by now, but I have this "saving" disability.

Well, in the end, you can burn down the alienage tree and kill Alistair, so obviously the player will have victories.  Being on the fodder side doesn't bother me personally since that is the point of the experience, but I guess I can see how that might turn some people off.

Seeing boss lvl Morrigan and Alistair sounds fun to me actually!

Thor-It seems bioware isn't overly interested in expanding the PCs story at all, let alone one that would only involve one of the 6 Origins. Though it would be cool!

I'm going to plug a new Nexus mod that I'm definitely digging and keeping an eye on. I'm a toolset n00b and have no clue how to make faces in the toolset so this mod is especially nice to have because the author is not going crazy with the scapel. She's/he's just improving on some of the default models in the game. So far, she's/he's done the dwarves (I approve of what she did, btw) and now she's/he's on the elves.
