Could someone with the toolset do me a huge favor and pull the lines that hardened Alistair is supposed to say when you try to spare Loghain?

The ones about wanting to see justice done, so he'll take it into his own hands so he'll be king? Pweeease?

"I see I need to take matters into my own hands. I demand justice, and that means I take the throne. I will be king."

Damn that was sexy....

They announced the DLC. I don't think I want to play as a Darkspawn. :?

What, what???

You now fight as the Darkspawn! The city of Denerim, jewel of Ferelden, girds itself for war. As a hurlock vanguard, you alone hold the power to make thralls of your fellow darkspawn and drive them into the heat of battle. Heed the archdemon's call--Denerim must burn!

I have yet to find a picture suitable for how utterly STUPID I find that idea. I think this one has to suffice for now:

And this was my reaction as I found out that BW is actually SERIOUS with it and it's NOT a belated April's fool:

I just can't stop to facepalm over that new DLC, no matter how hard I try.

Have you ever tried disagreeing to the terms of the duel? I kept doing that until Alistair finally took over, saying it had to be done and he was volunteering for it. SPOILSPORT!

After all these playthroughs, there's still lots of things I haven't tried! Anf that's just as a HN. This game is endlessly replayable.

No!  I'm going to try that some day....maybe when I do my timid Surana.  Or before, just to see it.  :P  I love it when Alistair mans up and just steps in charge!

Oh god.  *makes quiet keening sounds*  And I thought merely letting him be led off for execution was bad.  ( ;_;)

@Gilsa
This package has all of the original headmorphs.  It's actually really easy to edit any of the NPCs w/ it.  You just toss the whole folder into your override folder.  When you open up and save/export your altered NPC face it will automatically export to where it needs to be.  You just have to make sure the file isn't marked as read only.

For example this Leliana edit for mine is actually very few changes.  I changed the eye color to green because I have an irrational hatred of gingers w/ blue eyes.  Then I edited the blush, eyeshadow, lipstick and hair tints.  The only major change I made was to use one different skin texture.

We are ridiculously awesome, and therefor show no reaction to redcliffe being swarmed with darkspawn.

Also re: the Zev thread Ali haters...well, in THIS thread we understand the Zev love, and that it can coexist with the Alistair love. That makes us ridiculously awesome too..

On another note, why would you want "The nag" to look like this? Isn't this an immersion killer?

Yup. My elf was all like "this is crazy, i won't be a part of that" when the duel was brought up initially and so she said as much. Eamon then tries to appeal to you pointing out you have little choice, really, and if you still refuse then Alistair steps in on his own.

We totally absolve you of any need to buy this DLC LadyD.  Unless you mean the last part in which case...well, I can't help:lol:

I was referring to the actual cheese sandwiches I ate for dinner.  *frowns at her tummy*

When the DLC comes out, I shall report faithfully on it, Maker help me.

Lady Jess:  No, no, it is my duty, and I must do it, whatever the cost to myself.  Where the hell is Alistair to harden me when I need it?

Yeah
killing sweet puppy characters make me sad :(
poor Zack Fair dying on me was enough

Okay now I am thinking of something else you could have done with the DLC

instead of dying your Grey Wardens soul instead becomes trapped inside the body of the Darkspawn, either you find your true self or go entirely as a darkspawn
or at the end when you are about to kill Alistair your memories come back as a human/dwarf/elf before the ritual and you spare Alistair and allow yourself to be sacrificed to kill the Archdemon

Maker help you indeed. I won't be buying it. My Bioware points don't expire, do they?

It's like they were trying to make the most horrifying DLC they could....

Maybe there's a bright side that we're not seeing here, though. If they're willing to make a DLC that will turn off legions of Alistair and Morrigan fans, or virtually anyone who likes to play 'good', then they're clearly willing to make DLC that won't appeal to the widest possible fanbase. That makes DLC tailored to specific character relationships infinitey more likely. I'd ruled that out as not being potentially profitable enough.
