Frankly, I'd rather they work on continuing Dragon Age: Journeys than this lame-brained BS. They are doing themselves no favors here.
$ is all the favor they need, because they know people will buy it.
It's idiotic. As if the DA universe has nothing interesting anymore, except for playing a mindless pawn.
A DLC about a Disciple of the Architect, now that is a DLC I would have payed 10-15$ for.
A DLC about Paragon Aeducan, flashback style like Warden's keep. Same.
So many great possibilities and they figure that being a mindless Darkspawn with absolutely 0 RPG and story value is the best way to go. *sigh*
And if Morrigan / Alistair thing is true, I would like to join the Alistairians in a great groop hug, where we all cry and lament Morrigan's suffering.
Or, if they wanted to do a "what if" scenario, how about a what if for the origins themselves like:
What if Bhelen never framed your Aeducan, and Trian still lived, and you were never exiled.
What if Your Brosca succeeded in the duplicity of the provings and was never discovered?
What if the Couslands were never betrayed by Howe?
What if the mage never got involved with Jowan's problems
What if the city elf's wedding went off with a hitch?
What if the Dalish elf and Tamlen never discovered the mirror?
These would be far more interesting "what if" scenarios that "what if your Warden croaked in your joining".
I like the idea of DLC that expands upon the lore and scope of the DA universe, such as your suggestion of a Paragon Aeducan DLC, or something of that nature. This "Darkspawn Chronicles" crap contributes nothing worthwhile. I'd get more immersion playing Super mario brothers. At least there my mindless canned character gets to eat pretty magic mushrooms and chuck turtles of doom around.
