I've done the HNF Queen ending 3 times and I've never had him leave my side. I get that Alistair worked hard to become a good King and was much adored by his people. Then I get that we were married and toured the kingdom together and everyone rejoiced to see their King loved his wife so much. After that it just goes into NPCs and other races epilogue cards.

Weird, I've never had it do that. 

I've gotten that a couple times, because for some reason my Wardens feel like setting Alistair up with Anora and then breaking the deal or having her break it.

Sado-masochistic tendency, I suppose.

So I always get stuck with Anora in the epilogue.

Well I installed the mod so Anora's removed. But I don't understand why he friggin LEAVES. I know I did NOT get that before when I married him. it buggeth me

Because the devs smoke a ton of bad stuff when the time comes to write epilogues and code the game?

Maybe, but then you would think I'd see it every time I did the noble queen ending.

Really? That's the slide I always get when I stay on as queen. But I also always stay on as chancellor so Eamon can gtfo, so maybe that's it.

Nope, I got it when I chose howe's family too. I think though, I'll do it one more time. For continuity...and after the boon choose the wardens. Kasha's my main, and my fic star...so whatever I can do to make awakening fit her...lol

Yeah...no storytelling + no (positive) interactions with former companions + killing Alistair = my five bucks going elsewhere, and I bought all available DLC within hours of starting the game previously.



More story, and more old companions, might see me spending money on DA, but definitely not right now.

Now meeting Nathaniel will make more sense since I DID have them stripped of everything. My being in Amaranthine without my King husband makes more sense (though to me it made sense originally), and the Couslands are taking over Thedas...lol Fergus is Teyrn of Highever, I'm the Arlessa of Amaranthine and Queen of Ferelden

Yeah, that definitely makes more sense. What ending do you normally get? I've only gotten the Weisshaupt and Wardens (non-King) ending. Oh, and the ending where my Dalish went back to her clan and Alistair stayed with her "for a time". Psh, I hated that one so I reloaded xD

I have a warden ending, a zev ending, and I HAD a marriage ending...but he never left my side. If that was a glitch then it was a good one.  Thinking about it, I think it may have been. Here's the King and Queen of Ferelden, one of whom SHOULD be dead. If she stays as chancellor, Weisshaupt CAN call him away, because SHE can rule. If she's out doing the Warden thing, they don't need him, they could question HER.

I get the he's called to Weisshaupt ending if I stay with him and not be his chancellor but then another one I chose chancellor and he went to Weisshaupt on that one too.

I just did all but the travel ending, because I can't make myself choose that...lol it makes no sense. At least not in a romance. And everything but choosing the wardens had him go to Weisshaupt.

If you leave Anora as sole queen but stay on as chancellor with Alistair in a romance, you still get the uncomfortable Anora slide, right? I think it makes more sense in this situation and in the mistress w/ Alistair and Anora married. I guess they were trying to make a generic slide but it didn't really translate well for the Queen ending.

Yeah, I got that with Zevran. I just assumed they didn't know if any of them besides Morrigan and Alistair would return in future games. Those two are pretty much guarenteed I think, even exiled Alistair mentions where he's seen.

Well, if you choose to travel or go back to wherever you came from and Alistair isn't king he also goes with you... for a time xD It seems choosing to stay with the Wardens is the best outcome no matter if you're queen or whoever your LI is. Probably done on purpose too
