This is what is going to make me mad, and seeing Alistair in templar armor is already a flashing red sign.yukidama wrote...
So we're not really going to give a damn about them when the characters you actually care about are being killed and potentially acting in OOC ways.

I asked, but he's afraid of accidentally scalding something that should never be scalded.

Oh hey, did you know that our Alistair fangirlyness is based on the fact that he's childish and brings out our maternal instincts? I just learned this today.
Well, I certainly know that I've been dressing my cats in baby clothes less and less these days, ever since DA came out and I discovered the joys of playing mother/lover to a pixelated video game character.

Yes, I knew that. As it is, men are children and need us to sponge the drool from their chins. And isn't it obvious straight out of the Korcari Wilds that Alistair wouldn't know how to wipe his ass without your epically epic PC and the other brave companions to show him the way?AnniLau wrote...

As a point of curiosity, where did you read this profound morsel?

Very patronising but also simplistic, what exactly is meant by "maternal instincts" there are many aspects involved in being a mother, not all of them, by any stretch of the imagination could be described as "fluffy".

It's not maternal for me, I like having to be childish but in an adult way with him...if that makes any sense. He's a good, funny flirt.
I think is pretty clear that most of us here fantasise with him being our lover what's "maternal" about that?

A possible, but overly simplsitic theory.
A more likely theory is that Alistair has a sincerity that is sorely lacking in men these days (yes I admit that).

All of the ending slideshow cards are stupid IMO. I did a vote in this very thread on what people wanted changed in this slide, and everyone wanted it left alone, they just wanted me to remove Anora. I fixed the gray warden ones too, I forgot about that and need to put it up on my project page. I personally can't understand why he would be called away if he is king, but I got outvoted.Lady Jess wrote...

I get the he's called to Weisshaupt ending if I stay with him and not be his chancellor but then another one I chose chancellor and he went to Weisshaupt on that one too.
I need cmessaz damn Anora fix lol, it mentioned her.
I just did all but the travel ending, because I can't make myself choose that...lol it makes no sense. At least not in a romance. And everything but choosing the wardens had him go to Weisshaupt.

Answer: Sod all.
They better have a very good reason for "summoning" him, i.e. he better want to go of his own accord rather than out of some dumb Grey Warden loyalty thing. At least, that will certainly be the argument around my femCousland's breakfast table.

OMG its one of the seven signs of Apocolypse....Someone sacrifice a nug and impregnate Morrigan in a magical sex rite to stop it. I nominate KoP since he started this with a kind word about Alistair!

See, the problem is that this is like a default card. This appears whether he is king or not, if the warden chooses to stay in Denerim. I think they ran out of money and time and forgot to add the other slides.Addai67 wrote...

He's still a Grey Warden, and he's still all about duty. He was willing to die as a Grey Warden and let Anora take the throne. He still feels an allegience. You only get that slide if you did the Dark Ritual, I believe, so it's implied that answers are being demanded. While he may have let the PC lead, he was still the senior Grey Warden, so it makes sense that they would summon him. He may also be going in an effort to protect the PC. This would be the same whether he was king or not.
