Has to be after making love (I think) when he catches you at camp to confess his feelings, say "but you are going to be king" and then after he is done with his little thing say "It's either now or later, isn't it?" Also will vary somewhat whether he is hardened or not.

And no I didn't "change" anything, I just made a line that wasn't appearing properly appear.

*frowns*  Okay, I don't know if I can trigger this conversation.  Any more info as what the conditions need to be to get it?

I know! I made him work for this one...well I thought I did...apparently dragging me isn't much work, since he'd already done it once. Also, the keeper's speech is right up there with Daddy Couslaand...

Yea my first girl (Rhiannon) I pushed it all the way to pissed off Duncan.  I literally wanted a scene where he arrives in Ostagar with the PC over his shoulder kicking and screaming. lol wouldn't that have been a sight for Cailan to see as he walks up to greet them.  My current Dalish actually agreed when the Keeper pulled the Duty line on her.  Duncan is quite gracious if you go willingly even by that point.
I wonder what it is about the Dalish that brings out the best in Duncan and Cailan?  I found the king to be quite charming on my Dalish girl.

With Duncan maybe it's the "whatever it takes" attitude they have towards preserving their ways. Cailan poked my boob. Ho there friend INDEED shem!

Also, Alistair already got her...sigh.

He had her at hello, "wait, I do you know! You're Duncan's new recruit. The Dalish"

He is the only one besides Cailan that didn't just call her "the elf"

LOL I still like Alistair/mage combo best.  He's so freaking awkward and adorable when you tell him "yes I am a mage". There are a TON of wonderful lines for mages.  The origin is not one of my favorites but the game as a mage is quite delightful!

It's sad but I always play my Alistair romances the same way. So, I decided to switch things up and I'm already laughing. When he gives you the rose, I chose-"So, we're married now?" to which he laughs and says "You won't land me that easily, woman. No need to start crying on me now." Then he asks if it was a stupid impluse: "Maybe not. It's cute." And he replies "Cute? Cute? Oww, you could just stab me in the face first before you say something like that."



You guys may know this but I had to share. It was unexpected for me and I got a good laugh.

No, I'm glad you shared! Those aren't dialogue choices I've tried. I tend to make the same choices, too.

so I kinda clicked "we need to end this now" with Alistair just out of curiosity; I got the 'puppy got kicked' sad look...well I exited out the game and I am never doing that stunt again >< NEVA!.

I'm not good with the toolset or I'd know all the different things I guess.  I always hear the ladies here say how the choices that seem bad really aren't.  Most of the other choices hurt his feelings(got -64 for one conversation) but that's not what I'm going for.  The one above was +4 or something.  He's so adorable.

I did, however, get -93 with Alistair.

I turned down his offer of sexytimes and then ended the relationship.  It sets your approval to 0.  Apparently, it destroys him completely when you do that.

Alistair: I won't have to.  Morrigan will give me "that look," I just know it.  You should really kick her ass for me.  I'd pay to watch that fight!

I don't know if it matters or not, but in my case he was hardened.  I just chose the "wrong" dialogue options to get a game save for cmessaz (which is not appearing in her save folder!  *tears hair*)

It sounds like the conversation you get after the PC initiates the tent?  If he accepts, the next time you enter camp he'll pull you aside all shaky and nervous-like to see if you want to continue the relationship.

Eamon has to be revived in order to get the 'you're going to be king' line.  I currently don't have a save where Eamon is revived before Alistair asks me for sexytime.  This should tell you something....

I really like it, but I can't figure out how to make fonts for descriptions and stuff a bit smaller.  I can live with it, though.

More fits of laughing. When he's at adore and asks if you'll miss everything, I chose "Must you always joke about such things?" And he says something about only one sister never laughed at his jokes, she'd just glare and then rap him with her cane. I picked, "I wish I had a cane to hit you with." And he says something like: "See, that's why I like you. You're so sentimental."

Poor lad. I suppose it's due to that Alistair mustered all his courage to actually confront you with how he feels and such and then the one he poured his heart out to says flat out "no, thanks, no interest." Not really a good thing for his low self-esteem, I take it. As always he covers it up with a joke.

Equally cruel is the "More jokes? You are a funny guy" line after he has confessed his love to you. You can literally hear his heart breaking.
