Rather than stop thinking about this, I drove the knife a little deeper by recalling that if you do reassure him and go to the tent in this dialogue, afterwards he says, "Before we go, I just want to thank you.  No one has ever made me feel this way.  I didn't think it would happen, to be honest."

And it would probably take a while for Alistair to realize that a woman who would say such a thing to him is a b*tch who doesn't deserve him anyway, rather than think the fault lies with him. 

Something else that strikes me about that post-tent talk is that he says no one, not just no woman.

It's hard to say 'no woman has etc' it doesn't flow trippingly off the tongue like 'no one has etc'

I know it's late, but you have to had taken him to the tent prior to the talk. Sorry! You say this: Any of the first options, Any of the second options, then "but you are going to be king" and then "It's either now or later, isn't it?" Also I suppose I should add that you must have cured Eamon so you know that he is going to be king. There are other ways of doing this, but my new fix is for this one. Sorry it took so long, I got busy.

No this part doesn't make me happy, but then you drop your child at day care, get back home, have some coffee, have some more coffee, fire up your computer and find freshly posted fanfiction ... the kind of fic you didn't even know you've been waiting for ... like the latest AMWT spin-off No Steady Shore about Alistair and Isabela, equally sad and naughty.

You know for some odd reason when I read the last panel the etchings on his armor looked like he had suddenly protectively grabbed his royal jewels...I think its too early for me...and the facial expressions in this are freaking hilariousDuncan looks adorable in this.  Somehow even in a cartoon the beard transcends awesomeness to sheer brilliance!

I suppose it's due to that Alistair mustered all his courage to actually confront you with how he feels and such and then the one he poured his heart out to says flat out "no, thanks, no interest." Not really a good thing for his low self-esteem, I take it. As always he covers it up with a joke.

Equally cruel is the "More jokes? You are a funny guy" line after he has confessed his love to you. You can literally hear his heart breaking.

The one line that I think would literally destroy him when your asking him for the first time is "Forget it Alistair, I need a real man"  or something to that effect.  Never done it and I never will, that one would definitely be disastrous on him.  That would be down right cruel.

I have saved it before this conversation and turned him down...OMG, I can't do it to him, it just tears me up...the look, the tone of voice, the thoughts you just KNOW are running through his head ("I'm not good enough for her...I never was...and she knows it. I just wish I could crawl into a hole somewhere").  It's awful. I couldn't make it stick, even though I WAS going to try Zevran for a change...but i just had to lead Alistair on...I just couldn't leave that sexy hunk of manliness alone!

Yea he's hard to resist.  The only time I was able to was on my HNM and even then they had a bromance going on.

Mark me as  "Yes" in that too.  I have no interest in the zestier versions of the mod.  I blush and get stupid watching the mild ones which aren't much different from the vanilla ones, just different camera angles.  Hell some of the vanilla ones make me blush!  TMPs are so much more romantic than any others I have seen.

Check over by Morrigan's tent.  There is a known bug in that mod that leaves him standing there (thats where sexy times take place) and since I found out that I am less curious to see the zesty stuff.  I kinda don't like the idea of getting my freak on in such an open scenario esp with Sten standing nearby.  I'll stick with TMP's or Vanilla lovin'

Recycled Alistair Photo. Thanks to Gilsa's gorgeous pics I am playing my first Lady Aeducan (at least past the Wilds which is further than I got before) the game has a completely different texture to it on different Origins.  Its more than just the dialogue.  This is the first PC I made who WANTED to be a Gray Warden from the moment she met Duncan. Not sure yet if she will feel Bhelen did her a favor by exiling her or not.  She didn't want to kill Trian though (and got framed).  She kind of has that "middle child" feel to her and this is her way to prove herself (Seeing as thanks to that little douche Bhelen she was exiled to the surface).  Looking forward to sticking it to him when she gets back to Orzammar.  Maybe the Deep Roads won't be so gawsh awful on a dwarf.
