I know the higher teirs have crappy colors. Dragonbone is very disappointing, and there was a mod to correct that, but I can't find it now.
Maybe the Duster armor isn't so bad, now that I look at it. It's just the plain Leather (not studded) that bothers me with it's imprinted six pack. The Duster armos doesn't have it as bad.

Addai- I tried the practicle Dalish, but it looked painted on to me. Have they updated it at all to look better?

Does Alistair fight the duel with Loghain on his own? or do you have to control him?

You control him like usual, even when he volunteers.

If you try to refuse the whole duel thing repeatedly, eventually Alistair steps in and volunteers to do it, saying it looks you have no other choice.

Ack...just thinking ahead, I hate the duel as an archer. But I hate controlling him more.

Then I suppose he beheads Loghain and declares himself King?

I never really followed that route to the end but i'd guess that at least the beheading part is given, aye.

You know, I'm sort of curious, what are the situations where he just declares himself king and what are the situations where you have the option to decide who will rule/suggest marrying him?

If he is not in a relationship with the player and is hardened, I believe he will make himself king after the deul. I had to reload with my HNF who was his friend, because I didn't get to choose to marry him.

Not sure, I always let Alistair duel since Alistair dueling cancels out the annoying Riordan/Loghain scenario.

I was just thinking with my Dalish, if he dueled Loghain, and DID declare himself king...it would make her rp easier. He'd break it off right after, and she could turn to Zev. Or just continue with no romantic attachments.

He shouldn't do that if you're an HNF.  He'll do so for other races/origins, though.  The only time I had a "ruh roh" on my HNF was when she tried to spare Loghain.  Baaaad idea.  LOL  He seized the throne and that was it for her consort gig, but for the reload of course.

I did that once when I was changing the outcome of Landsmeet so I could import to Awakening right after that. I declined the duels, Alistair took the reins, beheaded Loghain, crowned himself king, and then turned around and told me we had to break up because that it was all my fault he was king.

LOL. :D

You do?  Well, I don't do it often while fighting, but it sure is making Orzammar more enjoyable to send him fetching things.  I would much rather listen to him saying "right", "on it", etc. than listen to my own PC.  Of course, I think I could listen to Steve Valentine reading off a cereal box.

And then there is the fun of switching back and forth from your PC to him.  "Yeees," "your wish?", and of course, "my love?"  <3

No I experienced this. He was just at friendly with her, was hardened and did the deul, he declared himself king. Trust me I had to reload and I wasn't happy about it.

Is this another flag error or again just stupid cutscene and dialogue recycling?

Is that a bug?  Because I thought the game was always supposed to allow a HN the chance to grab consort, except for the Loghain scenario.

What?!? I just love how he blames US for making him king when he takes it into his own hands. He did that with my CE warrior. I thought I was being NICE telling him HE should be the one to execute Loghain, and boom he takes the crown with no input from me and it was me that did it. No sir templar boy, no sir! She wasn't romancing him though. Same conversation I wonder?

I don't know, I just don't like the sight of my DEF so exposed all the time.  I mean, geez, it's cold in Ferelden.
