I'll be sparing with the Maricstair since the photo you posted of Anders with the perfectly positioned Lamp post in Winter horns (sly sideways glance edition) is now my desktop.

It's a really awesome picture!

There is a happy medium to be found here, since the Thane helmet keeps The Hair covered, NBM is a loophole.

Yeah, I agree. Post some pics of your work.
Edit: PLEASE!
Some of my changes will conflict w/ IA's New Headmorphs though.
When I'm done w/ this play through I'm probably going to do some serious editing. My goal is to make the NPCs look more natural all around. I haven't done any major editing for the most part. Most of my edits are making tattoos look more natural, less hooker makeup, etc. Just small changes that to me make a big impact.
A few NPCs I did an overhaul on. Cammen for one, I gave him the same facial structure as most of the elves. I removed the tattoo I had put on him since he's not a hunter yet. I also edited Vartag to make him look more like warrior and less like a dick. I axed his boy band hair cut in favor of more natural hair and also added a beard.

It's kind of odd with so many spells how it can seem dull after a while. I was going to go back and re-make a Dalish mage, but the idea of clicking on Winter's Grasp one more time made me wilt a little. I'm still waffling, though. I would actually like to try a shapeshifting playthrough. Too bad shapeshifter specialization wasn't sexier. Your shapes should be more terrifying/powerful than just a ranger pet type. I know there are mods, but not sure a Dalish mage would shapeshift into some of those.cmessaz wrote...
Ok, so I'm bored with my usual mage combo. I have an elven mage, spirit healer/bloodmage. She will use mostly healing, and supportive spells. Now with my human mage, I'm at a loss. Destructive gets boring, but I'm considering going destructive/debilitating. What is everyone's favorite mage setup?
Anyway, I prefer destructive always. I hate playing a buff mage. So I've alternated between my last mage being a fireball chucker/ Blood Wound/ VWB exploder. This one is a spirit healer with freezy capabilities and anti-mage spells, for that extra bit of "aren't they cute together" effect for her and Alistair.
The Haze spell mod is pretty good. Adds a little variety.

Yes, Dalish mage will shapeshift. The only problem you will have with shapeshifting mods is if you use a morph from the toolset. Becoming the archdemon and fighting the high dragon was WAY fun. In fact, yeah I think that is what I will do.Addai67 wrote...

I was slightly disappointed that they didn't have any new destructive spells with Awakening. I use haze, and the divine school. Yeah I think I'll go shapeshift/BM this time and be destructive.
Oh yeah, if you are destructive, the "spell shaping" mod is great. http://dragonagenexu...file.php?id=483

So, I'm curious... ([alistair] Curious, are you? [/alistair])... why do people feel that Maricstair goes better with elves? 'Cuz I think my HNF would slobber over a more kingly-looking Alistair.

Serissia- Did I get your Cammen one? I don't remember. But yeah, you could make a project sort of like DA redesigned. I would download it, you seem to have the same tastes as me.
Not sure, I just edited it a bit more. I want to get this treaty done then I will probably work on morphs some.
I also need to figure something out regarding the tattoo channels. I'm probably going to revamp some of the tattoos I've done once/if I can figure it out. I'm missing a channel that's why the last bar will turn the whole head a color. It's not a huge deal and they still work of course but it irks me.

A lot of the tattoos do that, so don't feel too bad about it. I think yours are pretty cool. I'm creating more presets with them as we speak.Serissia wrote...

I just meant that it seems more IC for a Dalish mage to shapeshift into animals. I guess you could have gotten access to some really old arcane lore for the more exotic ones. It would be nice if your spider, for instance, could shoot little fireballs out of its eyes or something like that. Some limited spellcasting rather than pure melee. I mean, just how much would an enemy crap their pants to see that?cmessaz wrote...

Yeah, I didn't like how the mod erased the default ones. But I agree, they could have done more with it. That is the only reason I go with the mod. Being a desire demon and a revenant is always fun.Addai67 wrote...

I'm going with destructive. What does that fix do, exactly? I guess I never have really gotten too far into the destructive path. Maybe I'll tell Morrigan to sod off with this mage.Serissia wrote...
The Chain Lightning fix I'm using is really nice. It actually makes the spell worth casting. I'm using Mind Blast, Fireball and Chain Lightning for the most part.

I think Brand Cousland would legitimately dig Maricstair (she can appreciate the longer locks and added scruff). Personally, I think Maricstair looks rougher around the edges than Vanilla Ali, and she would go for that in a big way.

Without any fix Chain Lit is unimpressive to the point it isn't worth casting. This fix basically makes a ball of lightning that shatters and hits everything around it. It's not over powered in the least but it's actually useful. Let me find the link to the fix.
Improved Chain Lightning
I'm using the file w/ no friendly fire. I didn't want to waste the jumps on my own companions.

Since I have spell shaping, I got the normal one. I would imagine it would conflict.

Is it Parcheera or Pacheera? Or otherwise?
I would like to have him curse correctly in my ficlet, so answering this would be great ^^
