Dumb tiny question aside for my FF: How is Sten's favorite curse word spelled?

Is it Parcheera or Pacheera? Or otherwise?
I would like to have him curse correctly in my ficlet, so answering this would be great ^^

Anyone know of a way to remove specific weapon effects? I actually LIKE the cold effect but I hate the fire and electricity.

But can she resist the Alistair. Oh and due to lack of black shields, she's a dw tank. She /should/ fall for Zev and marry Friend Alistair. We'll see.

What armor is that?

There is Annoyance Remover.  I think it conflicts w/ IA though if you're using IA.

That is the Bloody Runic Armor I thought it suited the start better than the GW Runic. I felt silly wearing Griffons that early. Although I do now know some of my family aided Sphia's wardens in the rebellion, so maybe they had some stashed...lol. But either way, now theres enough for me and Alistair.

Question, pre-100 refers to pre-Ostagar, right? Or does it include Ostagar? Anyone know?

Sometimes I like being overpowered, sometimes I don't. Just depends. Besides it looks cool, and if you don't like the overpowered stats, wipe them on the winter forge. Posted Image

Nope.  I would say I don't use armor mods, but I do have the one that adjusts dalish armor so your character actually has a waist.  Using armor/weapons like that at the start would break the game for me.  I do not find it enjoyable to start as a badass.

And you know what mod we need?  One that gives the Character Creator better lighting.  *grumbles*

Lady- Or one that makes the PC look the same in-game as they do in CC. Or that could be the lighting issue, as well.

Well it's a single player game so more power to you I guess!

I tend to get into the growth/development of the character's skills from an RP standpoint so I like having the early fights feel a bit more challenging than than some of the later stuff.

Edit: the CEF origin on nightmare (with default gear) actually felt pretty intense at times, like it probably should in the storyline >.>

Where did you go Serissia? I can't find Fergus's armor in this dang mod.

Banana split armor has to go.

I think it might be mostly lighting, because when you look at the little small circle portrait, that always looks like the char does in game.  It's just too damn small to see anything useful.  But good goddamn, I am tired of making characters that look great in the CC and then like absolute sh*t in game.  Talk about pasty!I think good lighting is the key to this.

My first Dalish was the best case.  Thought she was awesome, and then as soon as I saw her in the forest I wondered if it were Forks, Washington and if there were vampires around.

Lol! Yeah, in fact I am struggling with this as we speak. The toolset works, but colors tend to be different between the toolset and CC I'm discovering.

Agreed.  I love the progression of the character's belongings to mimic the progression of the character.  In fact, I kinda of dislike the Lothering trap leveling thing now.  I only do it for money, but I've come to hate all the levels I get out of it.  It's not so bad now that I have the respec mod and can fix Wynne and Zevran, but still.  Kinda break it for me a little.  By the end of the game, we're leveling on the sacred ashes trailer so I can finish at level 25, but I'm fine with it at end game.

That armor is more Aesthetic than anything. I don't feel a daughter of the 2nd weathiest family in the country should show up in the same gear as a street thug from Denerim. The stats are really mild on that prticular set, in keeping with early game. At any rate, I've beaten the game in it's vanilla form many many times without following much story. So, I'm going through with what pleases me in the looks department, and finding my challenges in the dialog and relationships. The battles are just an interruption to me at this point. Though, I am now playing on nightmare.

My Dalish isn't wearing anything spectacular (nimble set from Awakening via mod) either. Just something that looks pleasing to me. I played my rogue in a set of arcane warrior leather because it looked cool for a while too...lol

Oh and those swords? yep, they are Vigilance, but they are a plain set with zero stats.

Is it even possible to somehow change the lighting in the CC?  If it is, whoever can do this would be a god amongst men, especially if it affects the Awakening CC.  *curses even more*

It's definitely the lighting.  To be able to actually see ture color the background would have to be true gray.  Colors look different to our eye depending on what colors are around them.

To each there own. Sometimes I don't mind being overrpowered. On the PS3 I had no choice, so I have no problem taking overpowered items once in a while on my PC. It's not like we haven't experienced vanilla DA before, right Lady Jess? One of our million playthroughs anyway.

lol no kidding. And like I said, I rarely yse OP stuff unless it really catches my eye. The Bloody Runic has vanilla early game stats, I'll probably end up ditching it for Effort later. Now, if the combat starts getting on my nerves...which it definitely does once I hit the deep roads, THEN I look for OP stuff...or killallhostiles til my keyboard exploads...lol

I'm just in it for the story, and the visuals at this point.

Why did they choose that area for CC anyway? Must be that bong water syl mentioned.

The lighting itself makes characters look awesome.  It's similar to the concept of fancy restaurants having low, warm light.  It makes people look better.  The problem is that you never see that lighting in the game.  I really want a way to fix this.

That said, it's still way better than the blue light in Awakening.  Wtf is up with that?

Edit:  It makes Alistair sad, too.
