Randomly, Alistair went back to being S&S because I finally downloaded the Bulwark of the True King and I couldn't pass up on giving him grandma's shield.

That was my only problem with it. But my HNM married the ice queen, so it's all good. As a male, I think I would be more into the Morrigan type girl, not the "girlie bad a**" type like Lel. Plus the eyelash comment really creeps me out. I don't want to be all "oh don't worry I'll protect you" Morrigan looks out for herself. But that is just me.yukidama wrote...
I saw my brother go through most of Morrigan's romance. I think it is mostly my reluctance to play a male character that makes me not want to do it, but also that I'm not up for a tragic ending when I have a chance to avoid it :[

Having done the Alistair romance (pre-landsmeet) I can't say I really understand his romantic appeal. I mean I get the fact that women appreciate that he's so open, but he's SO painfully self-conscious I find it gets a little annoying having to reasure him in every conversation.KnightofPhoenix wrote...
No, I have not, though I have read about it sufficiently to get an idea. I can not imagine it being superior to the Morrigan romance in any way. Of course I am talking about the romance in general. Whether Morrigan is a better character than Alistair (duh) is another thing.
She's a total GILF. <3cmessaz wrote...

I think the Chantry uses lyrium for other purposes than addicting Tempars...

His "swooping" kiss and his proposition at camp are the only times he seems to take any initiative on anything really (part of that being game mechanics I know, but even compared to the other romances, Alistair seems far more passive imo). But I'm not a woman, so... *shrug*.
Maybe the fact that he is so manipulatable is part of the allure?
I suppose. I can see the interest in Nate. And I definitely get the Teagan love, cause that guy is a badass.cmessaz wrote...
Again, I think this comes down to the fact that you aren't a girl, so can't understand the way we think. And everyone is different. I think as woman, we understand Alistair and the life he's led.
Funny, because if I were a man I would go for Morrigan over Leliana. At least we can agree on that.

Nate is doable, and so is Anders. If I was a man, I'd like Sigrun, but that would be about it. Valena is out.Axekix wrote...

How Alistair managed to inspire such a fandom is a mystery to me though...
The only reason I romance the eyelash stealer as a HNM is because she can help me get past the horrible woman that is AnoraThor Rand Al wrote...

Zevran's romance really is very deep and engaging. I couldn't personally do a m/m game, but I enjoyed it very much on my female characters.
Well if I did a Zev romance it would have to be with a fem pc (no M/M for me thx). But on my fem chars I find it almost impossible to get out of the Leliana hair convo without flirting with her... she's just so adorable there:wub:
Lel's ninja love sabatoged my first 2 of attempts at getting my Alistair unlock too, haha.
