OMG guys. I think I figured out what happened to my toolset last time. And what kills me, I think it was just me being a complete idiot. So the reformat was so not needed. *bangs head on desk*

It's contagious. Mine just crashed in the worst part of the werrewolf ruins...that room with all the traps...gahhhhhhhhh no I have to do it again.

Oooh, via the Morrigan thread I heard of an Alistair-Morrigan interaction that never made it into the game.  Aimo illustrated the voiceover here.

I... am not sure what to say about it.  It's awesome, in a way.  But terrible at the same time.  Why do they cut these things?!!  Maybe they just never fixed it so that it would trigger, like a lot of other stuff.  *mad*

Naturally, it won't be an ending I'll keep.  But I think the emotional impact will be the greatest this way.  How would a lover of Alistair's live with the fact that she might have been able to prevent his death?????

Blast this toolset. Guys, I can't figure out how I made the vanilla scene play after the kiss. I swear I'm doing the same thing I did before, but it isn't working. I may have to move it to another line, which would be stupid.

Keep a save of it.  That's what I do.  That way you can run through it easily whenever you feel the need to.

And yeah, it's a rough ending for your pc.  I have a rough draft of a fic dealing with it, not sure if it'll ever be finished.  In it, Lya never really forgives herself.

Totally not fair crashing mid swoop!! My poor tough as nails Dalish just finished the werewolves. And she totally went against my mplan of blindly killing them. Don't you HATE when your PC up and grows a mind of their own? She called Zathrien on his betrayal of her people, which completely ruined trying to resist Alistair on the basis of humans not being trusted, since a keeper could friggin betray his people, she had to see her people weren't any better. Her clan was, but not her whole race.



So Alistair swooped and I crashed. NOT HAPPY!!

Did you try uninstalling all of your SQL files that are installed?  I had SQL issue and that's what finally worked for me.

When you kill them? I don't know, I haven't been able to do it. When you refuse to help Zathrien he just says we're standing for what's right here, no matter what. Which to my Dalish was another nail in the resist coffin, a sign that he knew how hard that must be and was supporting the difficult decision. I know he says it to everyone but for her it was special.

This crashing talk is weird, i have never really had the game crash on me, no matter the patch version... could it be something like you have ATI graphics card (not sure how good their drivers are nowadays) or the drivers for your graphics card aren't up-to-date?

Bingo. And Alistair standing there, backing her up, in what was a brutally painful situation softened her up even more. I mean her father was a keeper, the idea that one would DO this to his own clan ws heartbreaking. Seeing that one of her own could be so horrible to his own clan just...ugh.

Nope, I can confidently say it is not my computer. I am running a full out gaming laptop with dual nVidia 260M graphic cards, 1gb each. Completely up to date. I have 6GB RAM on this system and an Intel Core 2 Quad 2ghz processor. It's a pretty common problem since patch 1.03, theres at least one really long thread full of people suffering the same issues. Mid cutscene Morrigan hit her cleansing aura or whatever it is, and like many effects (holy Smite, Mana Clash, bombs, and other AoE) it crashed to desktop.

Well, I still can't save any changes in the toolset, either with the b2b or just the original alistair_main. I am doing exactly the same as I was before, but it isn't working. So I am going to stop for now, and continue if I ever get my patience back.Sorry guys!
