not just male dwarf but also gw aka dr but woman get nothing
Only if you hook up with Alistair...or Leliana, for the obvious reasons. It's still possible otherwise.
Edit: Missed the Dark Ritual reference. I thought you meant she couldn't at all, not that she didn't during the game time frame.

Eh, from what I hear the whole childbirth thing isn't a ton of fun.shedevil3001 wrote...
also i thought it should be mentioned that if you play as a male warden you get to have a child it's only the females that get jipped out on the heir/child thing
anyone else think thats unfair ?
Come to think of it, poor Morrigan has to do it alone... with no one to support or look after her. No doctors to ease the pain, no one to even hold her hand.

I don't think that line is even available. But I could be wrong.Sandtigress wrote...
BTW, what does unhardened Alistair say if you try to use the "No one tells the king what to do" line when he breaks up with you post-Landsmeet? That occurred to me earlier, and I've never tried it.

Has anyone ever actually asked Jowan why the two of you never got together? I can't bring myself to do it around Lily.
He thinks of you as a sister or some such thing.
It's kind of funny...Lily is quite interested in his answer and you do have the opportunity to tell him that you were just kidding.

I don't know, but I'm hoping for my mistress Wardens' sake and for Alistair's that they do know about cuddly time. Because it would be much better for all three of them if everyone knows when Alistair was going to be on the clock.AnniLau wrote...

I have to chime in on the mistress discussion and say that I fully expect King Alistair will try to marry and my Warden PCs would try to support him in it. It's too important to try for an heir. Both he and she (my Warden PC) will have seen a vivid example of what can happen when Cailan left no heir.
Makes me wonder how much Fereldans know about conception...I mean, could my PC get away with sending him off to the wife just for that week or so around ovulation and keep him to herself the rest of the time?

i guess female gw's were only put in to keep women from complaining but aren't actually part of any of the origin storylines :{
That's definitely NOT true.
Look at the complexity of Alistair's romance, there's a LOT of time and thought put into just him and the ending's you can have with him. If you choose HNF you can actually marry Alistair, be his Queen and be in love with him. None of the other origin's lets you do that.

You want to run around trying to save Ferelden from the Blight with a bun in the oven? Or, given that it takes over a year, a baby strapped to your back? That'd be a fun Archdemon fight.
I think they were being practical, not exclusionary.
