I got that damned unhardened response at the landsmeet on a hardened Alistair. Urgghhhh was I mad.
I think everyone does. that that answer is just in the toolset? Maybe Gilsa can correct me, but that's why I had to ask a toolset person to snag it for me awhile back.

I've never heard this one. I got the unhardened response last time but I used ADP then.Gilsa wrote...
PC spares Loghain at Landsmeet:
Hardened: "I see I need to take matters into my own hands. I demand justice, and that means I take the throne. I will be king."
Unhardened: "I didn't want to be king. I still don't. But... if that's what it takes to see Loghain get justice, then I'll do it. I'll take the crown."

I also need to finish the canon run of Awakening on this character and can't get the Velanna encounter to trigger. I don't suppose there's anything that makes it more likely to happen?
Edit: I get hardened Alistair responses at Landsmeet, so I have no idea what would be up with that.

There's more dwarf faces here, but this one is hard on my system because the blending used doesn't show up right for me -- your mileage may vary:

Ahhh thank you it was VirusCats! I'm just too danged lazy to fiddle in the toolset...lol

Playing as a dwarf, can you send military aid to the dwarves and become Alistair's chancellor? Or do you have to choose one or the other?

Al: "Joining the Wardens is an honor, not a punishment! Name him a Warden and you cheapen us all! I will not stand next to him as a brother. I won't!"
1. So that's it? You or him?
Anora: "He's being childish. How many generals do you think Ferelden has? We can't afford to lose any of them to Alistair's tantrums if we want to survive the Blight."
Al: "Oh, but we could afford to lose a king? And the entire army that was abandoned at Ostagar? Whose tantrums cost us all that, I wonder?"
HARDENED: "I see I need to take matters into my own hands. I demand justice, and that means I take the throne. I will be king."
NON-HARDENED:"I didn't want to be king. I still don't. But... if that's what it takes to see Loghain get justice, then I'll do it. I'll take the crown."
2. We need all the help we can get, Alistair.
Al: "Loghain is a traitor! We need him like we need to be stabbed in the back! Or have you forgotten how his being a great general didn't help the last time?"
Al: "I didn't want to be king. I still don't. But... if that's what it takes to see Loghain get justice, then I'll do it. I'll take the crown."
3. Not all of us have spotless honor, you know.
Al: "Some things can't be undone or forgiven. This goes way beyond having spotless honor, we aren't talking about a minor hiccup in his past!"
Al: "I didn't want to be king. I still don't. But... if that's what it
takes to see Loghain get justice, then I'll do it. I'll take the crown."
So #1 leads to the option of having hardened dialogue being available while 2 and 3 just go straight to the unhardened line. I don't know why it's set up this way.

One or the other. If you crowned Harrowmont, better off using the boon on anything other than sending troops.Arundor wrote...

When the first human armies arrived from Ferelden, they found themselves blocked at the city gates. Harrowmont feared the disruption the humans would cause and permitted only limited aid in the form of equipment and herbal medicines.
Bhelen king, dwarf asked for aid:
When the first human armies arrived from Ferelden, King Bhelen welcomed them with open arms. Within months, the darkspawn were driven back as far as the Dead Trenches, and the first dwarven warrior to return with a relic retaken from the gates of Bownammar was greeted by cheering, jubilant crowds.

I am not familiar enough with toolset to understand the coding. cmessa might be able to interpret the outcome better. It doesn't look like it's a bug to me. *shrugs*klarabella wrote...

Rumor has it... leveling, armor changes, connecting to your online profile from the game. Let's see... check your profile and make sure the files aren't maxed.LadyDamodred wrote...

Sorry, wish I knew. Sometimes I change my character's armor for two seconds to check something, it updates my avatar. When I try to change the armor back it takes hours or a day to update. Sometimes characters show up immediately after I make them or a week after I make them. I don't get how it works...

Yeah, I went through and winnowed out screenshots. And I had two of the same characters, so I deleted one, and it somehow messed up the Lya fronm Awakening. *mutters*

That's a good perspective for my next dwarf noble. I can crown Bhelen to keep the throne in the Aeducan family and I can crown Alistair and make myself his chancellor so my dwarf noble is never far from the comforts of a throne because she is royalty to begin with. =p

Yes, the game duplicates your character, sort of, so that you have one from Origins, and one from Awakening. You must have deleted Awakening Lya, but if you just reload her game and make a manual save, it ought to bring her back.

Did you try these preset replacements by VirusCat? ( http://www.dragonage...ile.php?id=1181 ) They make a very good point for creating a nice dwarf, compared to the defaults.Lady Jess wrote...

(they aren't very changed from the originals just fix up some issues, mostly)

I didn't delete Awakening Lya, as she was in a different armor set. Unless the screenshots lied to me on the delete page and weren't the same as one the profile page. Oh well, dwarf it is for now. I do like how she looks.
Edit: I heard rumors that you need other people to look at your page for it to update? Any truth to this?
It makes Alistair sad, too!
