Hmm, so you just die, then. Ok it should be changed to appear when the PC's health is at like 10 or something.Axekix wrote...
Interesting. So originally it wasn't meant to be a "fight to the death." At least from Sten's perspective that is.cmessaz wrote...
Alistair: No offense, Sten, but you're crazy if you think I'm going to follow you.
Morrigan: I suppose you expect to be in charge? Poor, naive qunari.
Leliana: That was very impressive, Sten, but I'm still with the Warden.
Wynne: Tha's enough Sten. Despite your display, the Warden is still in charge.
Zevran: That was a delightful exhibition! However, nothing has changed. The warden remains in command.
Oghren: Think that's going to make you the leader,do you? Heh, good luck with that.
Sten: I see. It is the will of the company to wander without purpose then.
So these should trigger when the PC is defeated. I have never done this fight, so I don't know what works and what doesn't.

I think I have a save I can test. Want me to check?

Question for you Dalish playing folks. Is Gheyna considered an adult or still a child? I noticed she has no facial tattoos but from her denial of Cammen I assumed she was in higher standing w/ the clan.
I would say she's still a child for the reason you cited - she doesn't have the vallaslin. Cammen is still an apprentice hunter, but it really doesn't mean that she's something higher - just that she doesn't think there's security in marryingn an apprentice hunter instead of a full hunter. If you can't make it through the vallaslin without crying out, you're not considered an adult, so I can't imagine anyone could be considered adult without having gone through the process.

Neither of them have tattoos. I think they're both young teenagers. I don't get any sense that she is in higher standing. She's clueless about things when you ask her and just tells you to talk to the elders. There seem to be marriage customs based on mutual agreement rather than matchmakers like in CE, so her refusing Cammen doesn't indicate status to me. (edit: Though the tribe appears to have some veto power. They disapprove of the PC's parents' match, for instance, which is what indirectly leads to their deaths.)Serissia wrote...

BTW, did anyone else get Fiddler on the Roof vibes playing the CE origin?
Alistair, haven't forgotten you in all the o/t chatter, big guy.

Lady-that would be appreciated. I'm thinking it is because they have it set to 0, so the game assumes it's death time. Instead, if I can figure out how, it needs to be set to a little higher a number.
Um...he kills you.
The motherf*cker kills you! Sten, you bastard!

Hmm, they don't have any hidden dialogue if you win though?cmessaz wrote...
Seems like taking those out was intentional. I wonder if someone somewhere got their wires crossed between programmers, because on the script notes it say "If PC loses, he is dead" but in sten__main, it says that if PC loses, then all of those dialogues open up and you once again get the option to tell Sten to f off.

I don't see any, at least not from other party members. And I don't see anything for pre-fight either. Disappointing, but I want to try and figure out if I can get this other stuff working.Axekix wrote...

I've used it, but it has issues. It also appears to not work with some mods. Since I installed the Dalish mage mod, it won't import character data for Dalish PCs. Any PC I import reverts to the default model.Lady Jess wrote...

I have no problems with it. In fact, my CC in the game is messed up and 1/2 the beard options don't appear. *shrugs*

Are there any instances in the game where the PC doesn't actually die when their health is depleted?
When you "die" at the hidden camp in the Brecilian Forest?

I don't know what on earth is causing it. But it's nuts. And I NEED it, I can't get my Aidan's face right in the toolset, because I used a preset for her:(
