That is what is going on with this person's game, it isn't my mod. It's the fire in the background during the scene. Serissia is better at explaining stuff than me.klarabella wrote...

Did you want the Dwarven rune for A while I'm editing this up? I can do the other too if you'd prefer.

I always saw the "you get to run the castle" more like parents' way to placate a troublesome teen so she stops asking to be taken to the battlefield. I mean, the way they do make conscious effort to tell the player that she will be the one in charge even though her mother is staying too and more than capable of doing this... it's such an obvious tactics.sylvanaerie wrote...
OMG no, I suppose you can play it that way but esp the HNF isn't a 16 year old. She's early 20s. I figure around 21-23 young but old enough for such a huge responsiblity as running the castle (and yes I know kids matured faster in the middle ages but this is Ferelden not medieval England where the life span seems a bit more than say 40)
With that in mind i'd peg the HN at ~18, the whole way kitchen antics are handled just doesn't feel like something written for a much older character and ~five extra years is 'much older' compared to that 18. 15-16 is what i'd see the CE at, mostly due to typical age for woman of that era when the arranged marriages were concerned and the Alienages being close communities not able to afford having their members idle for long rather than bear more people.

Eleanor didn't plan on staying. If you ask her she tells you that she's leaving soon to stay w/ Bann Lorean's wife (Landra).

The darker outlines can happen when the alpha-mapped (transparent bits) of the hair are put against other alpha-mapped pieces like in this case, the flames/haze of the bonfire. There's nothing that can be done about it really, just a limitation in the way game renders these things (doing it more accurately would have cost of slowing it all down so they compromise like that)cmessaz wrote...
Would you guys check this out and tell me if you see the problem
This person is complaining about my mod making a black line around the character. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm thinking maybe the haircolor.
Although it's bit funny the person is complaining about little detail like that, but isn't bothered about what seems like the body tint of the override they're using not matching the head skin tone

THIS is driving me crazy. I abandoned Natural Bodies because I just can't find bodies that fit the heads - plus no one bothers to put a necklace on them.tmp7704 wrote...

I found a screenshot from the last Sacred Ashes test and my PC was looking like Barbie! And Alistair looked like he was waering socks.

Serissia pointed this out up above, but Eleanor is leaving specifically because Bryce thought her presence would undercut the PC's authority to run the teyrnir. Also, wartime is no time for playing games. It's still possible the PC is younger and wartime itself is accelerating things, leaving Bryce no choice but to turn things over earlier than planned. I really think there is flexibility to play it as you like. Second sons could end up dawdling around the castle even into their 20s without a parent pushing them to marry, and since the Couslands seem progressive on that point, you can go any way here I think.tmp7704 wrote...

I would agree but for the fact that your spouse is going to end up living with your family and the dowry is expensive, so rushing into a marriage at a young age isn't as advantageous as it sounds. Also I think LadyDamodred pointed out that the idea of people marrying young in the medieval period is exaggerated. An apprenticeship would take a long time to complete. Marrying in the 20s and even 30s would not be unusual. The origin doesn't really say that you're apprenticed to Cyrion- it doesn't even say what he does- but that's the inference I make.

Going by the Toolset notes, her lines are generally to be delivered as "proud to see her baby is growing up" and well, it'd seem bit late to take that attitude towards a twenty-something. I mean by this age she should be pretty accustomed to the idea her "baby" isn't one anymore.

Not sure but i think the textures which are provided for the Realistic Look mod come with tint map which makes the body match the head quite better overall... and you can use these textures also with the basic Natural Bodies since they share the way textures are laid out. So you might be able to mix and match to a decent effect although yes, they just have these chain things around the necks rather than actual necklaces.klarabella wrote...

A lot of parents think that way about their children though. It's part of the "they grow up so fast" thing. My own father still has moments like that and I'm 28.

I think we can assume that the average lifespan is quite a bit higher than it really was in medieval times. Alistair says that wardens don't have to worry about dying of old age, which would mean that late 40's-mid 50's isn't considered old. Personally, I see the HN as being 21-22, but this would still apply if they were somewhat younger.
I like that line. I think it shows that Alistair is comfortable with the relationship and sees it as a long term thing.cmessaz wrote...
Tmp, some people are complaining about EVERYTHING. Including Alistair's "something you need my dear?" Like I wrote the damn thing.

That's what I always rationalize it as. It makes sense. Alistair is outside in armor all the time, so a 'farmer tan' makes perfect sense. It's not like they frequent beaches where it would get evened out.

Trust me, no matter how old you get your mom is always gonna see you with diapers on. Its the 'Mom' gene (at least for me it is).

I would love to keep Natural Bodies if you could get the body shape changes with the underwear still on. The neck thing is what really bothers me, though.tmp7704 wrote...

(That line doesn't bother me in the slightest, fyi. Then again, I don't understand why people get hung up on the title "princess consort" in the epilogue -- or whatever that other term is when you don't ever sleep with him and still marry him -- when I'm just happy with not being called exile or kinslayer, lol.)

From what i read there seemed to be a pretty large difference between the age of men and women when it came to the marriage -- that is, a male would generally be of age 18+ because he was supposed to fend for his family, but the female could (and would) be quite a few years younger than that. While the dowry could be expensive, so was having to feed a kid for few more years (with no guarantee how long she'd actually live meaning hte longer the wait, the bigger risk of no offsprings at all) and in this particular CE case having a new breadwinner join the household would mean that no goods really leave, but instead a free pair of hands is coming to contribute to overall wealth. Meaning very little reason to delay.Addai67 wrote...
