They give you a much better starting point, and easily make for a good looking CC created Dwarf.

I have found that with a new character, you need to uninstall the modded armors, upload/create the character and make a new game save, go back and install everything, and then it shows up in inventory.  Definitely cumbersome and incentive not to re-start characters as often as I usually do.

Oh that's it then,  I thought I did something wrong.  armor on one character but, not he other.  so unintall before new character then reinstall after character created... so if you want multiple characters need to do them first then install armors or what ever??

Maricstair is still young Alistair, there are no additional lines or what not..He could be a LOT older, someone started the whole Maricstair thing by posting Alistair as he will look near the time of his Calling.  Complete with a Duncan beard.  I would use that for screenshots or just to see a cinema or something but yes old Alistair while handsome is still far too old.  Maricstair I tend to think thats a bit of how he gets on the road where grooming is at best primitive.

I'm sure he's able to cut his hair at camp, or have the PC, Leliana, Wynne, etc. do it. A quick trim would take less time than those little braids and such >

None of your logic thing...I like my Maricstair...but only after I have played in game a bit...and only with my elven PC's...

what I usually do is
Disable the armor DLCs in the DLC table.  Remove any from my addins files that won't copy to a new game but save them on Desktop.  
Go into game, create a PC.  Then go back to DLC table after playing to the first save on my game and enabling all the ones I disabled that I want and put back the ones I removed from my game back into the game.
Go into game and play with all the armors/weapons.  
This is what works for me anyway.

If they ever add dwarf sex scenes at the Pearl (I'm talking about when you pick the NPC from a line-up, not the current companion threesomes) for dwarf/dwarf sex, you can bet that I'm going to find a way to replace the default dwarf male's face with Gorim's face, lol.

To be honest, HNF isn't my favorite origin and I couldn't care less about becoming queen or not, so I don't miss anything. For me the queen ending isn't the disney- happy ending that it appears to be, so I'm glad about as it is. For the exception of my one HNF my PC's aren't so much into nobles and politics anyway, or do it only to stay at  Alistair's side. But I think it's personal taste, as I don't prefer to make Ali king anyway, if possible (and fitting).

Though you really, really should try the other origins out, imo you are missing a lot otherwise.

On a side note: How long do you think have the journey through the deep roads taken in real time? I'm asking because I'm planning the draft for my FF currently, but I struggle to set a timespan for how long they have been down there. I mean it's a tremendously huge place and I doubt they could make it under two weeks out there. Or?

No no, this is for when you create a brand new character when you already have mods running.  Modded armor should show up in the inventory of all existing characters (if that's what it's designed to do).

In the past, they would usually show up even on new characters.  Like, when I installed Shadow Warden Armor, even when I made a new character, the armor was in their inventory already from the beginning.  I recall that I didn't have this problem before patch 1.03, though I really only tried on Shadow Warden Armor until lately.

Hey it could be worse, I could be posting him all over the boards...I finally figured out how to post screenshots now YAY!  I will reserve my love for the Maricstair for my own private enjoyment.

lol, I wrote that as part of my PC's story.  She cuts his hair for him.  it's cute. 

Also, yay for delicious angry Alistair!
