To the FF-writer: Do you take your whole bunch of people with you for the missions? I try to vary it and take them all where it makes sense (Deep roads, for it's dangerous and you need every help you can get) but I plan to take only 3 people with me in the mage tower because of the small boat. I don't think Shale will fit in there

Heh, if you take Shale with you to enter Howe's estate, Erlina tells you to leave your walking statue behind.  It probably wasn't the best idea for an infiltration mission, for sure.  LOL

You run out of stamina?

Nope plenty of that, I guess it only stays up in combat. Which sucks since the cooldown is a bit long, and I'm back in combat before it's available again. Also, Oghren, Alistair and Wynne just had the Haven discussion in Ortan Thaig...which is odd enough. Add the fact that I haven't recruited Wynne yet and it's just creepy.

Ah, yeah.  It ends after combat.  Didn't realize that's what you meant.  It makes sense, though.  You wouldn't really want to be in a berserker rage when trying to get a pinch of the ashes or doing laundry or when the Landsmeet starts.  XD

True, tho it would be fitting for marching into the assembly as a DNF:D

Hey, my HNF is a berserker.  She came into her own after the Deep Roads.  Like "Oh!  This is what I can do with all the deep-seated burning hatred I have for mine enemies!"

Oghren thought it was awesome.
Alistair was moderately terrified.  Good times.  ^_^

Lady always to the rescue. Ejoslin found another non-King Alistair pretending to be King Alistair that needs remedied.

Yeah, timelines and relationships have to be handled carefully.  Spaced out just enough that's it's realistic.  Though a combination of factors probably makes Lya and Alistair come together more quickly.

It will take time for Lenya/Alistair given to the circumstances, though I have already planned this part out. I just need to get a feeling for the time that is passing and how to translate that into the story. This is the only part I'm struggling with... I think I make here and there a stop for camping time, which gives the opportunity to get to know each other better.

As for Bodahn, I'd imagine you sort of stake out where you're going and he follows along at his own pace.  So not every camp includes him.  And as far as carrying stuff, I don't know that your character would carry armor back.  Weapons, yes, they're easier to transport.  Special items you'd prolly make an exception for.  But it's not something that has to be in the fic, b/c honestly, is your character ever going to root through dragon filth to find a lil statue for Alistair?

Alistair: What by the maker is she doing?
Zevran: It looks like she is ...searching something.
Morrigan: In Dragon poo?
Alistair: Looks like that...huh?

*continue to observe the PC with something between disgust and fascination*

15 minutes later....

PC: Yeeees, I have found something. :o *cleans the figure from the dragon poo* Niiiice. *goes over to Alistair* Here honey, a present for you.
Alistair: ...
Pc: You don't like it? I thought you like figures... :crying:
Alistair: Err... yes. It's... nice. With fragrance and all that. :?

Now I really want to write that xD Naah seriously, I won't go that much into detail, it's needless. And Bodahn will be there when I need him there but not every time. That is gratious as well. The problem with armor is dealt with so far, and all the other supplies Shale is carrying. Anyhow thx for the suggestions and the laugh I had with the mental picture you conjured with the dragon goo.:wizard:

And no, I don't take the whole party with me.  I think once your party gets so large, it's more difficult to move quickly, so people stay behind based on injuries or who will be more useful.  For instance, I left Morrigan and Sten in Redcliffe to deal with Connor in case we didn't get back in time.  Dog did not climb a mountain with me.  In the Deep Roads, Lya doesn't want her companions exposed to take much taint, so it's her, Alistair, Oghren (b/c he knows the way) and Morrigan.  There are a bunch of other reasons.  You can also have unused party members scouting around, heading to towns/villages for supplies, etc....

Deep roads won't be a problem with the party too big (Alistair, Shale, Morrigan, Ohgren, Leliana, Sten and Dog...though I'm not sure about the last three yet) Lenya has also her own reasons to take everyone or almost everyone with her. These are minor details, I still need to figure out and which comes mostly to me when being in the process of writing anyway. Thx for the tips, they will be helpful, though ^^

It's not actually that much of a problem.  I have *lots* of saves, though I think I'm going to end up replaying this char, so I'm going to make better ones.  -.-  What is wrong with me?

Anyone know if there's a way to restore the ability to strip all your points out of an attribute like you could do before the 1.03 patch?

Heh. I think so too. xD I guess it's a no-brainer that you don't storm to the estate with all your people, anyhow. Pretty much not the subtle way xD But I see Lenya running around with her best snark buddies Alistair, Morrigan and Zevran most the time anyway. <3

Haha, glad you enjoyed it.  There's a ton of stuff Lya wouldn't do if this were real, but by not taking everything, it gives more reason for her to do some of the shadier stuff.  She needs cash, unless she wants everyone to starve and have broken armor.

Lya actually leaves people behind when she goes into the Deep Roads for a very practical reason:  if they don't come back, someone has to get to Orlais and get the rest of the Wardens.  Technically, she should leave Alistair behind, too, but she can't face going into the Deep Roads without him.

I do leave him behind sometimes.  My HNF was very protective of him, royalist that she is.  My former elf mage was trying to figure out what to do about him and ended up breaking up with him shortly after the Deep Roads.  I figure an experience like that would open your eyes to some things.  I couldn't leave him behind on my current character, of course, because of the whole Fiona and Maric thing.

Did you get enough angry Alistair for inspiration?  Here's a crop of what I posted a few pages back.

Here's one of my favorites- determined Alistair, which is even better.

Hah, I think I just have found a reason to leave Leliana (and Dog) behind. :wizard: Lenya isn't trusting her anyway (yet) and only have taken her with them because she was sick of Alistair's constant whining about leaving her behind in Lothering

A whole rocky world beneath the earth full of darkspawn and other things? Hell no, there is no way she would leave Alistair behind. Given to the circumstances, that she is still new to GW-business then and that this prattling, annoying human her only other 'likemind' she has.

As much she hates it, she just needs him down there. ;)

I don't get angry or determined from this one.....I get "What's that smell??"  And with Zevran in the back, looking all innocent, I think it's quite obvious who the culprit is Posted Image
